I was blissfully ignorant of the fact that we have reached the 2nd half of the traditional summer season. You’re harshing my buzz, man.

Yup. And the pizza really doesn’t share any similarities to Chicago deep dish. Deep dish is practically a casserole. Detroit style is very obviously pizza, but with its own twist.

A trade with Ottawa for Tkachuck does not make sense for us at all. Win are in win now mode. Ottawa is in win now mode. Any return would have to be from the active part of our lineup, not prospect and picks. We don’t have the depth in our “win now” parts to do this trade. Our depth is in prospects and young players.

Meh. Savoie turned into our 3C. If he flamed out and we got no value out of him I’d be bummed, but we got a good rostered player out of that pick. I think that’s value.

Tkachuck is a center? We signed Cousins this offseason? Which multiverse are we in?

The way I see it, there is washout potential with Savoie, and if he doesn’t wash, his most likely projection is 2nd line wing. Is a 3C = 2nd line wing? I think given the prospects we still have, yes that is good value.

I like the changes. Alot. But looked at individually, none of them really impress when you look at the rosters of teams that were in the playoffs. This is going to have to be a situation where the total is greater than the sum of the individual parts. And I think there is a pretty decent chance that we will see a total greater than the sum of the parts. I do wish we upgraded a top 6 position, but that might be too much to ask in 1 offseason. I am positively giddy over 5 new players with a hard to play against game and the idea that we are forcing a rookie to bull their way into the lineup (and likely won’t be able to).

I had no idea either. And its not that I am looking to ice a goon, but a guy that can stand up to the toughest guys in the league and be respected is well overdue. Our finesse guys should play with more courage now.

Do you think Jacky Robinson was talked about in evey game he played at first? Again, it’s historically significant. Ignoring it is to ignore history being made. I’m not sure how that is relevant. Women can’t compete physically on the ice. Lots of folks that couldn’t compete on the ice managed to be excellent coaches. This is the first time one happens to be female.

From who’s perspective?

After the Leino and Hall debacles, I fully expect that there are firm, unrelenting orders from the Grand Meddler that there will be no more hesitant players on this roster.

It’s every bit as historic as Jacky Robinson. Or Alex Mogilny. They SHOULD be bringing it up frequently. When the 2nd female coach gets hired, if they are still bringing it up constantly maybe, maybe there is a complaint to be had. Maybe.

Ok, not hallucinating. 4-6 wks ago was last season. Now if only we’d stop talking about it so noone gets triggered.
