  1. IMO he was outright deceptive regarding the “coaching search”. Makes me tend to disregard what he says going forward. He’s shown me he’s willing to deceive to avoid fan displeasure. I have no expectations now. We’ll see where it goes.
  2. And none of this has anything to do with whether milennials, Gen Z, or whatever are slackers and snowflakes, so what is your point?
  3. Movie star looks. CEO ambition level. Super parent. Top performing kids. We are in the midst of greatness.
  4. Anyone still taking what KA says in a public discussion at face value is doing so at their own risk. He’s already shown that he is willing to say what he thinks the crowd wants to hear instead of what he’s really doing.
  5. Meh. My son started working on a farm when he was 12. Continued to do so for a bit after college ended and career started. The doors he had open because it said “farm worker” on his resume…. He’s a good kid. No, a great kid. You know else he is? He is representative of the bell curve of any population. He’s not special in any meaningful way other than how he is special to his family. The difference is I haven’t convinced myself that what I did, and what he’s done is anything more than typical.
  6. Ahhhhh…… your kids are different from the other 95%. 😂
  7. You are pitchforking the generation you raised. You realize that, right? Ive spent a good chunk of my career managing people and projects, including hiring. I’ve hired from all age groups. Do younger folks have different values? To some extent. Are they lazy, entitled snowflakes that can’t handle work, stress, and emotional hardship? Get over yourself. Like I said, this is the generation you raised. If you don’t like what you see, it is because it is a reflection.
  8. I simply don’t agree. I am about 5 years from retirement myself. There is nothing magical or different about our generation compared to the ones following us. We were maligned by the generations before us, and we are carrying on the tradition, unfortunately. I don’t see the younger workers today doing anything we didn’t do. The technology at their hands, and the ability to communicate is all that tha has really changed. They’ll grow, learn, adapt, and rise up just like we did.
  9. You’ve got to stop living in fear of change and let the generations following you do their thing.
  10. Z with a hard nosed RW and a gritty faceoff guy at center would be a hell of an effective line. It comes down to price really, and from my standpoint, I don’t care at all about the actual number as long as there is room for the hard nosed RW and center.
  11. I wouldn’t be concerned with a Stamkos quitting on the team. The only way he and a Kane level player come here is with an agreement that they get moved at the deadline if the Sabres aren’t a playoff team.
  12. I grew up on lakes. My favorite activities are lake activities. They are all awesome and the best. We vacation regularly at Chautauqua and Keuka Lakes. Chautauqua in particular is like a second home to me. Been going there for as long as I can remember. It’s changed, but somehow the vibe really hasn’t. We used to spend time at Oneida, but haven’t in quite awhile. Awesome lake if fishing and RnR is your goal. Used to spend time each Summer on Chaumot Bay on the eastern end of Ontario too. Gorgeous area, but not alot to hold your attention outside of the lake itself. I love that I can pop off 6 or 7 lakes I can get to within a 1 hr drive of where I live and I try to get to all of them during fishing season. This region is truly amazing with its waterways.
  13. Whatever your favorite is, just stay away from my happy place. I don’t want it too crowded.
  14. After the 2nd round I’d be genuinely surprised if where you pick matters statistically.
  15. I know, right? There has been like zero turnover on this roster.
  16. I don’t get it. Explain it to me like I am 5. No, seriously. I mean it.
  17. Z is the kind of 4th liner Ruff always loved here. Works his ass off, excellent speed, very good on the forecheck, positionally responsible, PK abilities. Id be somewhat surprised if he wasn’t offered a contract.
  18. If the NHL is the one looking sideways at the data, why is the Washington Capitals specifically buying it up? Something seems off.
  19. More of the same pattern.
  20. Rayzor is a bit of orange marmalade. Most folks want strawberry jam.
