It only took me 3 hrs to see what you did here. -
In Dylan’s case, some of the hand wringing was related to an all star break photo of him. He looked downright skinny. Not thin-for-hockey-player skinny. Just plain skinny. He looked like he NEEDED mass. It was the sort of image that provided credence that this roster is just not mature physically. I was hopefull that Cozens game would mature along with his body. Part of his struggles this year may be related to adjusting to that extra body weight.

I sure hope this is the last time they give you scars. You’ve earned beating this to the curb. -
I swear I read somewhere that Cozens came into camp 10-15lbs heavier. Did I imagine that?

Bastard Panthers is an awesome band name. And a solid epithet for the hockey team. -
We all knew Mitts had Tim Connolly hands. And he seemed to take at least as long as Tim Connolly to really show consistency with that super power.

???? To me it always represented an opportunity to be light hearted during heavy times. -
And you don’t tell anyone how to fan? Deal.

If my employer didn’t have business with SpaceX I’d be 100% on board.
-
You don’t get to judge anyone. We are all fans in our own way. ***** off with that garbage.

*Up to* 2 assists scored, so not half, but less than 100% of the value of a goal.

Let’s not forget that we were about here last season. The first 5-10 games or so are a warm up. Practice heroes tend to look brighter than they really are. The next 10 games start to filter out the chafe as the serious teams get rolling. As always, let’s see what American Thanksgiving brings. Wins in October count the same, which is good, and They appear to be winning in repeatable ways right now. Can’t really read any more into it than that though. The grind is barely underway.

Dahlin was cursed. Exclamations of generational talent, comparisons to Denis Potvin. Next coming of Lidstrom stuff. His own fanbase cursed hime.

I don’t want to see more protected roster spots. I like the waiver drama. The biggest change I want to see is a fix to teams hiding players on IR for the playoffs.
-
Points are somewhat misleading. When you fall behind the biggest hurdle is how many teams you need to leapfrog. As long as they can stay within a couple of teams of the cut line there is reason for optimism. If it gets much more than that, you are probably done.

D-Lo is just a bit unhinged. Reminds me of Brad May in that way.

This is a very unusual team. Unique, I’d say. I am a fan of a lot of Sabres players over this team’s existence. In the last 14-15 yrs however, fandome has been rare and does not include any current members.

We should all change our handles to bot looking names.

Is that unreasonable? I def share that sentiment with PA.

The aftermath of mine was a trigger finger that was quite amusing to demonstrate to the squeamish, but over the last 6 months it has become less amusing because when it gets stuck it genuinely hurts to unstuck it. At some point in the near future i will be demonstrating it to a surgeon I assume. Yeah, I am within spitting distance of 60. Very aware.
-
Didn’t watch the video, but fixing an already dislocated finger doesn’t hurt as much as you’d think. It already hurts ALOT. About a decade ago I fell down a flight of stairs and dislocated my right middle finger. It was pointing 90 degrees off from where it normally points. I put it back in place and the dislocation hurt so mich I didn’t notice any additional pain. I never received medical attention for it, and I am pretty sure surgery is in my near future. It always locked up after the injury, but it gets painfully stuck now.

Except the on ice evidence shows that an 85% Dahlin is not better than current Joki, Byram, and arguably Power.
-
What I find fascinating is the coaching staff preferring to keep a presumably hurt player on the top pair, and on the #1 PP unit despite his obvious lack of performance. Maybe he’s not hurt and the coach is trying to let him play his way back into form. Or maybe he is hurt and the coach won’t switch in a better performing player. Regardless, neither is a good look in a supposed playoffs or bust season.

Who?

Oh man. Sorry to hear.
