Mmmm…. Sour lemonade. Sounds like a sure seller.

Send me a PM. I’ve owned 2 now. I have developed some strong feelings about this. I can’t respond while at work but I’ll write you a novella once home.

Yes yesterday’s signings were by design for the most part, but Linus and Jake leaving were not. That tells me that goalie at minimum was not intended to go the way it did. We lost 2 of the most dependable, soft spoken, good attitude vets on the roster yesterday. We can’t keep home grown good attitude players. Yes, this team is now being shunned. My gut tells me that KA is concentrating on futures because what we have been seeing is that the vets we obtain via trade just simply lay down on the job. Because this team is being shunned. We have no choice but to focus on futures.

This right here is why I am so down on the next few years. It is pretty obvious to me that this team is now being shunned by the veterans around the league. This means that we are going to have to make due with what we draft and unwilling players with no other options. This is going to be a disastrous environment to develop young players. No high character vets, no NHL caliber goalies, no sense of loyalty. The fun in hockey is the entertainment value. There is no entertainment value in what is about to be unleashed.

I wouldn't fret about it. It won't matter. They are making the same mistake they made the first time.

Sabres sign UFA LW Vinnie Hinostroza from Chicago

What do we know about this guy? -
Interesting comments by Jake on twitter. Sounded like he’s been angling to play for Chicago for some time. "I've been secretly hoping this was going to come to fruition for a long time. This place has been an adopted home for me the last five years."
-
This is actually pretty accurate.
-
Hague and Hagg? What other similar phonetic names can we trade for?
-
And he doesn’t need you or anyone else to push him. He had his moment. Let it go.
-
It is not possible for me to hate this any more than I already do.
-
Man, don't encourage this. inky is OG. We don't want him gone and we don't want anyone providing a last tug.
-
I think KA has come to the same conclusions some of us had 4 years ago.
-
Dad joke alert. So, when this batch of Russians come over to NA will they be referred to as Prokhor's Harem?
-
Don't sell yourself short. After experiencing the last 7 years, the folly of losing to guarantee a successful franchise on the backs of a superstar should be self evident.
-
I don't think this title could be any more descriptive.
-
Lets see what they do about goalies before declaring whether this is or is not a tank. If we don’t have 2 legit goalies on opening day we can safely say the focus is not on winning.
-
You’ve obviously forgotten about Hasek and how he bulled his way out of town. Hasek was worse than this and he’s still revered. I could develop the same level of disdain as I did for Hasek if this continues.
-
He's too much of a diva for those activities. Once he signs that contract though.......... it'll be a constant Instragram posting of stacks of dollar bills on his back while doing push ups.
-
Ovie for 4 more years? I bet he can play at a high level that long. Him and Jagr are beasts.
-
Oh, this is a traditional rebuild. We’re jettisoning the current core and anointing a new one. It doesn't get any more rebuild than that. The Darcy sell off was a tank, a very specific type of rebuild. We won’t know if this is a tank until the season unfolds. If winning is met with more selling, we’ll know we are tanking.

Robbery and assault are dissimilar crimes but I don’t see a moral distance between those either. I see what happened to those 2 girls as equally reprehensible. If I were Canadiens exec I’d have protested that puck mightily. IMO that pick is resignation worthy. I wouldn’t want to be part of an organization that can accept this any more than I’d want to be a part of an organization that accepted a rapist.

I have a nagging thought that someone came up with a plan to mine an under-mined resource the way Detroit did 15-20yrs ago. With COVID limiting scouting opportunities across the various leagues maybe they thought they had a high percentage chance of seeing players other teams may not see.
-
To some extent I do disagree. Both crimes are crimes of power and humiliation. Rape is potentially more violent, but not always.
