All y'all are missing the best one.

Germany ruined me for beer. I fell in love with the continental lagers over there. The craft breweries here I don't think are using quite the same technique (or ingredients) because I just can't find them here like I had there. Except Hoffbrau House. The beers at Hoffbrau house in Buffalo definitely are like the ones at Hoffbrau house in Germany. Don't know if it is ingredients or technique, but they are just a bit more rich and smooth than what you find in the states otherwise, generally.

^. That should be your penalty song.

The logic makes sense, not sure if the numbers do. Now look at it from the point of view of the people who have seen his medical report, and are refusing to offer Krebs level prospects...... These GM's are one of 32 in the world. They aren't ditch diggers.
-
And it is no sure thing that Eichel goes back to Eichel level. I think you are heavily discounting that possibility. Eichel may end up at Kreb's level. Possibly worse. Teams have to factor that in. I'd be pissed if KA paid full value for Eichel when there is so much uncertainty. Uncertainty is lost value.
-
And after this season Krebs will be in play for them. And at this point Krebs is closer to a sure thing than Jack. It is not lunacy to hold firm on Krebs when Krebs has as much liklihood to be what he projects to as Jack does.
-
Why would Vegas do that to win this season when there is no real consensus that Jack will be back to full capacity this season? Unless he gets a surgery that it seems insurers are unwilling to cover.
-
The world just isn't that binary though. There is a complete spetrum that exists between full health and out injured. Almost certainly the negotiations are developing along that spectrum of value where there is probability of return at some percentage of what Jack was at his peak. Both teams (Buffalo and whoever) are working from the standpoint of what % of Jack is most likely and what is THAT value. Of course, from Buffalo's perspective that discussion starts with the assumption that 100% Jack is the most likely outcome. But after many months of this I think it is pretty clear that no other team chasing Jack shares that assumption.

Wasn't Fentanyl one of the drugs Lehner blasted NHL teams for handing out unprescribed? I don't remember.

UPL gives up 3 goals on 12 shots in 1st period. Amerks

Why did it need this reply? We don't need knee jerk, man baby temper tantrum posts. Seriously, he's our goalie prospect closest to the NHL. His good and bad performances are worthy of discussion here. -
For an injured Eichel with an uncertain surgery future? Would you do it if Quinn was your only blue chip prospect?
-
How many people on this forum would trade the Sabres top 1 or 2 prospects for a former #2 overall that is on IR and needs spinal surgery that has some risk involved? We would burn KA in effigy if he made that trade.
-
I think the plan at this point is to stretch out what value he has. I’m guessing there is just enough movement for KA to not be quite ready to say “good enough “. I think it has to be getting close to the end though.
-
So, Vegas has one credible high end prospect and you think it is idiocy that they are becoming frugal with it when the return is a guy who we don’t know when he will be back on the ice, and we don’t know if he’ll get back to 100% when he does? I wouldn’t make that trade either.

Given Jack's injury, it is a gamble as to whether that team is receiving a good value contract or a cap dump.

Hopefully there is no longer term effects. Pre vaccine, it took my wife a good 2 months to get to 90% of before she got sick. The son of freinds of ours got married last week. Turns out father of the bride had COVID that day. 15 people sick now from that wedding. Yeesh. Glad we weren't on the invite list.....

Would be interesting to see an alternate universe where Jack bought into the rebuild plans. Would the culture change be as dramatic if the biggest holdover from the posttank culture stayed on?

Watching this team reminds me of Las Vegas their first year

I think we are going to see more or less what we saw in the last 15 or so games of last season, mostly decent efforts, a smattering of obviously overmatched games, and bottom 1/3 of the league record. -
Yup. They have an awesome track record of all the dumb stuff they do.

Is Don Granato the best coach the Sabres have had since Lindy Ruff?

I prefer breaded over battered. With some fava beans and a nice chianti -

We're approaching "concept of" and we're only 2 games in. -
This is why all you jamokes bitching about Okposo being on the team, being an anchor, not providing enough value were wrong. This is the guy we needed 5 of on the team five seasons ago. He can still play the game at a reduced level, but that’s not his real value. His real value always was the intangibles he brings. I don’t know how some of you didn’t see the value in that. Didn’t see how that was worth an overpayment on a team full of kids. KO makes my very short list of players I’ll have a fondness for, for as long as I care to have that emotion for a hockey player.

Each Sabres Player will have Their Own Goal Song This Season

Is this in English? -
So far I am happy. The autonomy is proving to be true. The technology is very interesting and challenging in all the right ways. And I enjoy the culture so far. No complaints and no regrets.
