  1. Hopefully they are peaking too soon. No way I want to hear about Boston when the weather is warm.
  2. I’m gonna lay out a different vibe. Thank you again, Bills. Hell of an entertaining season. It has been a very long time since I was so emotionally invested that I had to ration my watching because I was still wound up come bed time. I can only hope that I get the same feelings again regarding the Sabres some time soon.
  3. Yet less than Botteril, who doesn’t have that reputation.
  4. Interesting. Something Ill need to look into.
  5. I may go as well
  6. I think this is probably an accurate take. Jack was much closer to he ceiling when he arrived in the league.
  7. I’m not sure I agree on the strength side. There is a lot of physical maturing still needed on this roster. O agree with the rest. I think the mental maturation would be sorely helped by adding a couple more “been there” guys like Tuch.
  8. See one post above yours.
  9. I don’t think we did in Buffalo. There wasn’t a coach here who dared cross him.
  10. Given the shackles he wore, Darcy may have been the best GM in Sabres history. I still won’t forgive him for being the tank architect.
  11. I can’t envision it being a bad thing to be a potential destination for an in demand player.
  12. And nothing for 6 yrs after.
  13. We won’t have any evidence of this until high value FAs and players with NMCs start showing up on the Sabres roster.
  14. This is one of the reasons I chose to go back to being an individual contributor again. Being the guy that delivers life changing decisions was too stressful for me to continue to do it.
  15. There is no fun to be had as sellers.
  16. Week 4 for me. It is tailing off finally.
  17. Thats what they want you to think.
  18. If only I could give up HTZ-FM
  19. Granato is only a piece of why they came out flat during what should be a playoff push. This roster is loaded with players that have never been there. I think our lone exceptions are Tuch and Anderson? Noone else on this team knows how to recognize when it is time to hammer down because none of them have seen it before. This is the risk of “not blocking the kids” with a handful of proven vets.
  20. I bet someone picks up Vinnie, and I bet he proves his play valuable to that team. Sucks for us, but Vinnie should be playing.
  21. Skinner, Mitts, and Krebs But only with the intent of replacing them with more playoff seasoned mid career vets.
  22. Define fringe. I thought about this a bit this morning. Would all y’all be satisfied if the team finished about the same as how it finished the final 1/3 of last season? And if so, why? Why would we be OK with this team essentially not improving over the last 25 or so games from last year? The concern I continue to have is, learning how to adapt your game to win is every bit as much a part of player development as the other stuff coach seems to be emphasizing. I’m concerned that the team is doing a disservice to player development by not changing gameplans to react to the change in the game as the season progresses. Someone somewhere mentioned we are the Leafs South. Maybe a poor mans version, but yeah, that seems accurate right about now.
