Me too. Pro wrestling became a disgusting display to watch at some point. On the other hand, it forced me to watch more grown up TV. đ

Would you trade Devon Levi for Connor Hellebuyck with a contract extension?
Weave replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
That is an extreme take. Although if we are talking about Helle with a contract extension, Iâd call it less extreme because one of the âconâ variables is removed. This team needs to win now. The team can move a prized prospect to make that happen, or it can find a reliable goaltender to pair with that prized prospect to make that happen. I donât think either is an inherently wrong answer to winning now. If the alternative were to stick with the 3 goalies we have now and the majority were on board with that, yeah, I think your statement would be totally warranted. -

Iâm glad noone is paying me to make the right decision on a deal like this. Levi has way more risk than Helle. His ceiling is a big unknown. Helle has way less time at peak performance than Levi, but his ceiling is obvious. And what is Helleâs next contract going to cost in cap and time? Why canât I have both? -
OT: Canada smoke smells of shame and Martin Short

I donât think that phrase means what you think it means. đ /pedant -
Iâm open to the possibility, but skepticism is high. Definitely in the âshow meâ category. Iâm open to the possibility, but skepticism is high. Definitely in the âshow meâ category.

IMO its terrible. Lets take another job away from someone who doesnât have the marketable skills to upgrade.

First thing I did was scan the teams that made a final to see where we were at. Didnât realize NYI and Tor were the only two âmade it beforesâ with a longer drought than us. Every other team that has made a final was there in the 2xxxâs.

We didnât have to cut them down. They already burned. -
Iâd rather they were deep enough that he plays 20:00 per game and leave 25:00 per game to the playoffs. But I am sure we all do.

AQI of 256 at the office in Henrietta this morning. Crazy how hazy and smokey the air has become. Iâve never experienced anything like this.

Until he factors in cost of living in Switzerland.

Every offseason lately I have wanted to compile the age/experience of the rosters that made the playoffs, just to show that noone else is building playoff teams with such a lack of age diversity. But every offseason the weather gets nice and I say ***** that, Im going outside. I guess what we are doing isnât unprecedented given Chicago did something similar, but it sure is an outlier. The monolthic age structure of our roster is my primary concern. Maybe my last remaining concern. Excepting an unacceptable goalie situation of course.

Noah Ăstlund to play in in the SHL for the 2023-24 Season
Weave replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
The tweet reads that the Sabres loaned Ăstlund to the SHL. That tells me KA is at least equally confident that heâll get the development opportunity there as he would in Roc. Im good with that. And love the autocorrect -
Well, Googleâs algorithm is designed to give you what it thinks you want. Id suspect your history shows you tend to read about this. I think Doohickey got it right. Youâre being trolled.

And another thing, donât be afraid to sign Helly to a long term deal. If Levi pans out and becomes the future franchise goalie, Helly becomes a top 3 goalie WITH term that you probably get more for in a trade than you gave up to get him.

I would wade in but Thorny is carrying the freight. We can afford to spend a prospect/ pick or two. We have an *actual* surplus and will not he able to ice all of them if they all pan out. You canât have a playoff run without actually starting one. Of all the playerâs theoretically available to acquire, Helly arguably gives us the highest chance of success. Was Okposo a rental for us last season? Was Girgensons? Why is Helly different? 1 full season. Not a rental. And my fall back, the future is not guaranteed. That prospect or pick we keep isnt guaranteed to make a difference. Itâs not guaranteed that Levi doesnât blow out a knee and lose his career. Itâs not guaranteed that Dahlin, or Thompson, or Power remain healthy during the time it takes Levi to develop into a starter. Hell, itâs not guaranteed that Levi develops into a starter. Get Helly. Win. Letâs see where it goes from there. Itâs almost like some of us are afraid of actually winning again. OK, I got my feet wet anyway.

Link? Apparently my social media accounts are well tuned to not see this stuff.

We need a Hellebucyk version of the Gimme fuel, gimme fire, gimme Timo ***** Meier t shirt someone way more creative than me was hawking in NJ.

I love it. Thorny is fully in move surplus high value picks/prospects because we are talking roundS of playoffs, and Eleven is in Angry Eleven mode throwing max sarcasm at moving good players for picks. Are we back now? Are we normal again? God, I hope so.

Pits are uniquely built to do some serious damage. In that regard they are more dangerous than many other dangerous dogs, but it still comes down to whether they are properly socialized, just like any other dog. They need the right owners. Just like Malinois. Just like Cane Corsos. Or mastiffs, akitas, or chows. Or labs for that matter.
