Episode 34 they speak highly of JJ, there's no possible way you could interpret their comments as them saying JJ won't make it to the NHL. I sure would like to know what episode he thinks he heard that on.

I assume you're talking about the "After the whistle" podcast with Peters and Rivet? Yes, under the PSE umbrella they were very limited in what they could say. They're able to speak freely now. The show is 80-90% Sabres related, often they are critical of the organization as a whole and once in a while will bash a particular player. Mitts comes to mind as a recent example. They have Friedman, Roenick and Gionta on regularly. I enjoy their show and think it is far superior to Marty and Duff on the instigators.

That's true, but if he's not signed this summer than next year he has the option of playing at Michigan one more year and becoming a UFA (and finishing his degree, which he may or may not care about). I don't think he has anything left to prove at the college level. If Adams sees it differently I disagree, but I'm sure his people know more about that than I do. If Adams wants to send him back to college simply to slide his contract a year I think that would be short sighted and foolish of him. Also true about the players you mentioned leaving this year, but I don’t think that impacts the decision he makes next year.

I think if we don't sign Portillo this summer he'll go the the UFA route.

MOPO, it's okay to have a second team out west. If you prefer a tough, physical style of play go with Nashville. If your preference is speed and skill choose Colorado. Minnesota is a good mix of both. I'm partial to Nashville myself.
