Wanted Sergachev, but I'm certainly not disappointed. Nylander was my second choice. Kid has sick hands and has jets. I see him as O'Reilly's partner in crime if Vesey signs this year and in 2 years. Certainly would give us elite goal scoring ability on a pair of lines.

Regardless of Nylander's D skill, we can afford to have a more offensive style player. We have plenty of two-way forwards. However I rather of taken Sergachev.

Gorges is slow, but to get into the playoffs next year he'll suffice. Not to mention he is a vet and has played in the playoffs before so he's likely rather useful.

If its legit, holy cow that'd be a steal. I'd take a guess though that it'd be more like, based on this "rumor" #3 for Foligno, #8, B level prospect, and a 3rd. Either that or we'd have to take Hartnell's contract instead of the B prospect I'd trade a late 3rd for Vesey's rights.

Why not, as long as he comes cheaply. A 3rd or 2 3rds would be fine. His contract ends in 2 years anyway so his money won't be a problem in the future.
