  1. Gorges is slow, but to get into the playoffs next year he'll suffice. Not to mention he is a vet and has played in the playoffs before so he's likely rather useful.
  2. I'd bring him in as a 6th/7th defense.
  3. Someone proposed this on the hfboards..... Pysyk for Pearson (LAK) What do you guys think, it was met with support from both sides. Also who would you rather have? Yandle or Stamkos
  4. I'd assume because many others want Stamkos/Okposo which I could understand they don't want that chance destroyed
  5. If its legit, holy cow that'd be a steal. I'd take a guess though that it'd be more like, based on this "rumor" #3 for Foligno, #8, B level prospect, and a 3rd. Either that or we'd have to take Hartnell's contract instead of the B prospect I'd trade a late 3rd for Vesey's rights.
  6. Why not, as long as he comes cheaply. A 3rd or 2 3rds would be fine. His contract ends in 2 years anyway so his money won't be a problem in the future.
  7. Rivet is a good analyst, but he does love players similar to him. But that does make sense
  8. Craig Custance ‏@CraigCustance 23m23 minutes ago Goligoski deal is done. Stars get 2016 5th-round pick in return from Arizona for negotiating rights to defenseman Alex Goligoski. Worrying
  9. Zemgus himself just shot down this rumor with a meme. @zemgus94
  10. You're nuts if you want to trade Reinhart for anything short of a legit Top 2 D man Ryan Murray like Blue doesn't strike me as anything near being worth Reinhart not to mention adding the 8th pick.
  11. Be sure to wear a Sabres jersey
  12. Out of them that's the only one I'd even touch presently. I'd try to get it down to #38 and a 2nd next year for Vanek and #15 I'd rather take Pommers though, I fear Vaneks influence on the youngsters I'd take a guess they'll trade others and let go of UFAs before trading Malkin. Unless Malkin wants out, he's there like Kane and Toews are tied to Chicago. Fleury is a more likely casualty of the cap situation.
  13. Unsure what I'd do with that, its very tempting and seems safe enough to pull off since we'd still have a 1st and enough other assets to move back up if we so wished too. But Shattenkirk would be a 3rd 5mil + RHD It does give us a puck moving Dman however. If we make that trade though I'd be concerned about Bogosian's future since I can't see us tying up 18 mil + in cap on just RHDs with Risto around 6mil, Bogo at 5.25 and Shattenkirk likely making something similar. Granted, Bogo was mentioned as being liked by Edmonton but aside Hall I'm really underwhelmed by our options aside from him and the 4th Overall. And value wise Bogo + 28 =s 4?? I guess it would be in theory possible based on contract status of Shattenkirk vs Bogosian but that still leaves us lacking a LHD.
  14. Looks like Eichel likes his new number
  15. Actually no, Juolevi and Chychrun both have the ability to make a push for a roster spot as well in terms of Dmen. And for sure they'd be near ready by next season. Nylander, Dubois, Tychuck, and Pujarrjari all are in a similar category aside from the last being a likely NHLer.
  16. He's safe too, he earned Murray's respect by having the balls to go to his office and call him out for the tanking at 19/20. Risto is not too slow...... he isn't Karlsson but he also isn't Cody Franson which you seem to see him as. He's akin to Hedman or Shea Weber and seeing as GMTM loved Bogosian, I think Risto would fall into a similar category in athleticism.
  17. I was meaning Keller at min is 2 years out, he's more 3 to 4 due to size
  18. Nope Nope, not taking Keller at #8, he's high risk and high reward. I need a clean cut player at #8 this year. Not to mention Keller wouldn't be a Sabre for at minimum 2 more years.
  19. An LAK blog said they'd give a 2017 2nd for Cody Franson, that would rock! If that were to happen here's what I'd do: I'd use #38 and one of the two other 2017 2nds to move up to 29th. Boston has 4 picks in 2017, 1,4,6,7 so they may be interested in recouping a 2nd and moving down seeing as they already have a pick at #32 With #29 I'd have much more of the ability to strike into the early 20's potentially to grab a guy who slid. #22 would be the most intriguing seeing as Winnipeg has 0 3rds and they may be willing to turn that #22 into #29 and a pair of 3rds and a 3rd next year. #8 and #22 wouldn't be half bad and we'd still have 2 3s, 1 4, 2 5s, 1 6, and 2 7s for diamond hunting
  20. I'd want more than a mere sweetener added for Bogo
  21. I'm going to Day 2 to get the experience since I'd rather watch Day 1 anyway
  22. That sounds awesome
  23. The Heavenly Hockey League drafted Howe this year, may he rest in piece. Now his career may continue :) and he will be with his wife again :)
  24. Ideal, we move up to 4 with Pysyk CBJ overshoots its trade value and merely drafts Brown, Puljujarvi falls to us at 4
