French Connection #2 Line of All-Time- NHL Network
gilbert11 replied to gilbert11's topic in The Aud Club
#3. -
Just watched a Countdown on the NHL Network of the top lines of all time and the French Connection was #2 behind Geordie Howe, Ted Lindsey, Abel. Now, even though I was happy to see the French Connection line rated so high, how do they have Gretzky-Kurri -Tekanen as #7? Gretzky is the greatest of all time. Gretzky-Kurri and a three-toed sloth should be ranked #1.

That’s why we ended up with a 40 year old Anderson.

Does the defense not like Houser? 34 shots on goal thru 2 periods by Ottawa? -
So, for this new Draft Lottery rule about consecutive lottery wins, is it going forward starting with this year or will they consider the Sabres winning the last lottery?

Congrats! I started out 5-1, then 6-2, then team faded.

Where did he come from? Never heard of him. -
I recorded and watched today’s Good Morning Football. With comments by the team and all their guests, it was an enjoyable 3 hours of coverage of Madden.

Because of the possible return on investment of a professional sports franchise. Now, I know that NFL & NBA franchise values increase tremendously. (Owners of Golden State Warriors thought to overpay for franchise in 2010 for $450M. Franchise now valued at $4.7B). I don’t know much about NHL franchises though, especially since they have not had the tremendous broadcasting contracts that the NFL & NBA have. This current contract is substantial however.

The games are in China. They’ll say “No pandemic here”. -
Lose to the Sabres and it’s “I’ve had enough.”?

A league apology is worth less than the bandwidth it used. -
In the time it took Zergas to position the puck properly on his stick, why didn’t anybody check him? Were they just watching?

Sabres acquire goalie Malcolm Subban for Future Considerations

Seems like a risky move. This could cause dissention in the locker room with all those players making only $750K. #sarcasm -

Pretty embarrassing to get swept by the expansion team. IIRC the first time the Bills played the Seahawks they got embarrassed. -

That spreadsheet has too much data and, from your screenshot, there’s no way to tell how it’s sorted. Really, the best info to evaluate is Save%. I sorted it on Save% of Shots on Goal. No, Murray is not among the top goalies with a Save% of .890 but it’s a lot better than Dell’s .862. Next best stat is Goals Against Average, which doesn’t take into account the number of shots faced or the quality of shots faced. Murray’s GAA is 3.26, worlds better than Dell’s 4.56. Likewise, Tokarski recently had back-to-back games where he faced 40+ shots. His GAA of 3.05 is very good considering the number of shots he faces. -
They didn’t retire it?

What about Maynard G. ?

I was watching the NHL Network and Kevin Weekes gave an update that he thinks it’s close and he gave Calgary as the top destination, slightly better odds than Vegas Golden Knights.

You never know. IIRC Mario Lemieux was possibly on track to challenge Gretzky’s records but had so many health issues. He had Hodgkin lymphoma, spinal disc herniation and chronic back issues. Still he kept making comebacks and at the time of his final retirement ranked 7th in career points.
