  1. Not what I had in mind. Shades of preseason. GO SABRES!!!
  2. I wasn't surprised at all. There are well documented flaws in his game going back to LSU. Especially route running. But make a spectacular one hand grab on national TV in the media cradle of the world and you can do no wrong. GO BILLS!!!
  3. Contrast those remarks to those made by the players in camp. Night and day to when they were saying the defense was anything BUT constraining and how the scheme allowed so much flexibility for creating havoc. There was huge expectation that the D would simply pick up where it left off from last season. But new scheme implementation seldom works that way. What's amazing to me is how our front four doesn't get the credit for forcing teams to drastically alter their passing schemes when they face us. When our safeties and LBs get in the same page and we start jumping on all this short stuff, I think we will see the resemblance to Ryan's previous dominating defenses. I look forward to Carucci's revision down the road. GO BILLS!!!
  4. Do the four game comparison of statistics between last year and this year and you will see our defense was not the dominating defense they ended up being and last year's D didn't suffer a record breaking performance by Brady that really jacked up the numbers. We are actually statistically better in a couple metrics that matter far more than gross yards allowed, too. Carucci manages to miss the boat entirely by pointing to sacks to make his case. GO BILLS!!!
  5. I hope it is nothing more than an injury with Carpenter. Nothing fuglier than a kicker with a case of the yipps. It happens and they are never heard from again. GO BILLS!!!
  6. So it would appear that Reinhart was slated for right wing on the third line with Larsson and Girgs. Looks like McGinn is the 13th forward to start the year. Any chance Samson Wally Pipps Gionta? GO SABRES!!!
  7. What a phuckin' yahoo. She should be arrested for reckless endangerment with a fire arm. Pure idiocy.
  8. So, does this thread need to end on this page, 41? GO SABRES!!!
  9. Deslauriers = Tommy DeVito
  10. I see Foligno and Deslauriers are already taken. So I'll just go with "other." Larsson keeps popping in my head, so I'll go with him. GO SABRES!!!
  11. Zamboni as a lawn mower.
  12. That is the essence of a douche nozzle on Tannehill's part. If true, I gotta believe that what we've seen of the dissension on that team is only the tip of the iceberg. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch. GO BILLS!!!
  13. It's Roman. But given some of his decisions, I can see how some might think it is Rex. We were outcoached in a big way yesterday. And that 2 minute offense in the first half was embarrassing. Sorry, but a pro OC knows what he is doing there. Roman looked clueless. Gives me concern moving forward. I am not confident Roman is gonna win more chess matches than he loses. Hard to believe he is the same guy who called such an innovative game last week. GO BILLS!!!
  14. You gotta be kidding. Please, tell us you are kidding. Whoever it was had to have been drunk to want you to leave for such a stupid reason. Unbelievable.
  15. Nah, I'm pretty sure it is one who sells stockings and socks.
  16. Agree entirely. Slippery slope indeed. As for gun laws, it may be an age where we have to take the jacket in a little (to paraphrase Jefferson). We are at a tipping point in American society, we are unique with this problem in the world, and our gun laws are directly contributing to the problem.
  17. They are certainly NOT all the same; especially in the eyes of law enforcement agencies. Mass shootings are their own classification of crime. So while it's nice that homicides have decreased, mass shootings have risen sharply.
  18. Trivial blips? According to the statistic, Oregon was the 994th mass shooting in the US in the last three years. 994 since Sandy Hook alone. 994 in 36 months. That's a tad over 27 a month; a little less than 7 a week. Almost one a day. If that's a trivial blip, I'd hate to see a torrent. This is a uniquely American problem. Why is that? EDIT: meant to add this link. http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/oct/01/obama-oregon-college-shooting-routine
  19. Good question and I think it does a disservice to McDavid. GO SABRES!!!
  20. Does this mean I have to check to see if the Coyotes are winning tonight? GO SABRES!!!
  21. Agreed. That kid has jets for legs. Against Sault St. Marie in the playoffs he was skating through the neutral zone, one on two vs. the two back-skating D men. As he approached the blue line, he lofted the puck over the D men and about 20 feet behind them. As he did that, he turned on the jets, beat both to the puck, and got a quality chance on their goalie. Just an amazing play from EVERY aspect that a hockey play can be made. Never saw anything like that. GO SABRES!!!
  22. I submit his talent has been producing in ways that aren't quantified statistically. And I'm confident that will come as well. He is a supremely talented receiver; leaps and bounds ahead of anybody coming out in his draft year, too. Regardless of what the revisionists will have us believe. And that will be borne out sooner than later I predict. GO BILLS!!! You're not imagining that he was nursing injuries last year; he was. From the cracked ribs, to his groin, to his hip he was never 100% healthy last season and he probably should have sat out. But he's tough as nails and even while hurt, he was difficult to play against, commanded double coverage schemes, and kicked ass as a blocker down field. Kid has heart and you can't teach that. GO BILLS!!!
  23. Typical Canadian press arrogance. GO SABRES!!!
  24. He hasn't missed a game in his career. He has battled through injuries, certainly, but he's been hard to remove from the field. He never had an injury problem in college and he's just had some poor luck in his first year plus in the pros. Way to early to say he's gonna be out of the league in a couple years. He's too talented. GO BILLS!!!
  25. Your exact quote from your original post: If that's not condoning Fixter's outburst, I don't know what does. You downright advocated it by saying, " Lazy reporting deserves that kind of response." So what are your subsequent posts if not a lesson in trying to walk back a comment?
