  1. Poorly worded on my part. I fear that there could be a sense of entitlement. The reasons there could be a sense of entitlement seem obvious. I like this group. How they play in signature moments before big home crowds and on special nights tells me they understand their obligations.
  2. I fear the level of entitlement in this iteration of The Core.
  3. And Bill Polian had the marching band in behind the opposition bench. Good. Wish we cared this much about winning. DG probably takes toast into the visiting room.
  4. Why was it stupid? Shouldn't there be value in someone questioning the status quo and pushing for answers on the pressing question of merely making the playoffs? I am glad there are Wawrows and Harringtons in a media market where everyone else is for all intents and purposes on the team payroll.
  5. Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.
  6. There's the troll slur. For a perfectly legit question of commitment to winning over development. Also... It's not a promise of making the playoffs that's the issue. It's a substantive statement that the franchise has done the work to pass through a doorway and into a room where other NHL franchises exist.
  7. Thanks Mike. One of DG or KA also said the players are bothered by enemy fans in the building. Hopefully that starts to ameloriate itself.
  8. It's not about semantics. It's about whether individual player development conflicts with tangible team goals. There's an obvious example at hand. Do you let Levi learn to be a starter at the NHL level next season at the cost of the best chance of winning games? Not "blocking" young players was an example this season. What the coach said yesterday is that player development is the focus and the playoffs will "take care of themselves." (And also that next season is not playoffs or bust.)
  9. We're coming up on the 10 year anniversary of Darcy saying the same thing about the playoffs.
  10. This is honestly refreshing. It's OK for fans to feel this way in a year that should have been (â„¢).
  11. It always comes back to toast with you people. I wonder if some of you could tell Granato's words from Krueger's. Might be an interesting poll.
  12. Scrolling back has been a disappointment.
  13. Hardliner. OK. How bout radical extremist postseason terrorist? Not sure why some of you gag at the p-word. Coach sure didn't want to touch it. He even bizarrely laid out things that could derail the playoffs again next year... Injuries, youth, conference competition, even a statistical anomaly that will make Taro's head explode: missing the playoffs with 110 points. I understand his hesitancy to be more forceful. Same goes for KA. They are very, very lucky to have the jobs they have. But what's worse is voicing the very definition of a losing culture... Reminding us unnecessarily that only one team wins the Cup. Where have we heard that before?
  14. Grape nuts? How do you think Eull Gibbons died? I came so close to nailing Euell Gibbons' name.
  15. So three GMs and two POHO's. At TH's that's a triple double.
  16. I appreciate your understanding. Truly. Wish others would lose the condescension... "Really?" Yes, really, it's OK to be depressed about missing again and skeptical of KA's focus on the future.
  17. Emma Stoltfus has a question about the marmalade.
  18. That 05-06 was some good toast.
  19. He's brilliant.
  20. Exactly. Thanks for getting it.
  21. Bet it was toasty. Why doesn't KA like toast?
  22. That wasn't a penalty.
  23. Anyway. Back to the toast. The Amish ladies of the southern tier worked so hard on the marmalade. What a waste. A sin, really.
  24. When OSP made meatballs, he used bread crumbs from the toaster tray. That's a fact.
