No. No straw men please. Speaking for myself anyway, all I noted is that relative to today, whether Larry was the cause or just along for the ride, his dentures were associated with Better Days.

LB plays the long game. Well, always thought he had nice hair. And he got through the arctic aneurysm like a trooper. Good guy.

Are you forgetting his first stent?

That seems neither here nor there. You'd go back to the LQ days in an instant, and so would I. What I liked about Tom was that he admitted he didn't know a puck from a meatball. And when they showed him after Briere's OT goal against the Canes, he had his hands on his head. Shock. Elation. Not an assistant coach or GM in sight.

I yell PASS! when the Sabres are on the peeper. @shrader

Correlation or causation, but whenever LQ was around Buffalo actually enjoyed having a franchise in the NHL.

Lol. Z. Jeff doesn't have grace. He doesn't want grace. He doesn't even say grace.

Maybe one day he'll get us in the sterling conversation. I'll show myself out.

The johnson watch begins...

And Bill Polian had the marching band in behind the opposition bench. Good. Wish we cared this much about winning. DG probably takes toast into the visiting room.

Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.

There's the troll slur. For a perfectly legit question of commitment to winning over development. Also... It's not a promise of making the playoffs that's the issue. It's a substantive statement that the franchise has done the work to pass through a doorway and into a room where other NHL franchises exist.

Thanks Mike. One of DG or KA also said the players are bothered by enemy fans in the building. Hopefully that starts to ameloriate itself.

It's not about semantics. It's about whether individual player development conflicts with tangible team goals. There's an obvious example at hand. Do you let Levi learn to be a starter at the NHL level next season at the cost of the best chance of winning games? Not "blocking" young players was an example this season. What the coach said yesterday is that player development is the focus and the playoffs will "take care of themselves." (And also that next season is not playoffs or bust.)

This is honestly refreshing. It's OK for fans to feel this way in a year that should have been (™).

Scrolling back has been a disappointment.
