If Kulikov comes back this week, does Guhle have to be the first to go back? Or is he ear-marked for Gorges and doesn't have to go back to Junior until Gorges returns?

My dad and I used to do drums, and the rule there is always leave one together for reference while you're working on the other one. :) Brakes are easy these days as the calipers are usually mounted in a frame that also holds the pads. You had to remove the calipers and pads at the same time on my cars from the 90s and that sucked; the ridge of unworn and/or corroded brake rotor around the outside always hung things up. Drums were terrible about that when the shoes would stick; you couldn't get in there to pull them in far enough to get the drum off. Go for it, as far as I'm concerned. My guideline is anything you fix/make/do. If you build pumpkin trebuchets, I want to see it. Painting your Sabres room? Post pictures. Computer hardware? Sure, why not. Build beer brewing hardware out of old water heaters? Oh yeah!

Why not. My DIY is coming in the mail this week: brakes for Van-dor the Unstoppable. Shop price, roughly $500 parts and labor. Internet price for parts (nice, but not OEM): $200. Spending a couple hours in the driveway with something to listen to and perhaps a beverage or two: a net plus. One of the most enjoyable I did was replacing the clutch on my washing machine. Fun project and well documented both in the paper manual tucked inside the panel and youtube videos. Plus, it was pretty easy even though I had nearly the entire thing torn apart.

If the Sabres were having a good season and the injuries were long term, maybe, but I'm not sure you make panic moves to salvage a season that's looking less and less likely to go to the playoffs.

That's good, I second.

Gionta's goal: Folingo came flying in there to make that play happen. That's the kind of play he needs to make a lot. Eichel's GWG: watching Kane, my thought was "wow, he was shot out of cannon chasing down that puck". Another goal coming off speed and hustle. If Kane had scored, I can't believe RJ wouldn't have used the cannon line, he was flying. -
Selfish player, needs more assists. :)

Won't anyone think of the posters?

Altavista for "meme generator" -
FWIW, this is the list of centers for the Caps in 07-08: 15 – Boyd Gordon 19 – Nicklas Backstrom 21 – Brooks Laich 39 – Dave Steckel 91 – Sergei Fedorov 92 – Michael Nylander I'm pretty sure none of those guys is Eichel-level. I'm not sure any of them are ROR level, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to say that.

, I was going to make that joke last night but told myself, "MattPIe, you're tired and punchy". I was wrong, it's hilarious.

Those sound like Canes colors, boy. You better watch out.

They both wear a number where if you had a circle with an area of that number in square meters, divide by pi, then by 4, and then multiply by 12.57, you get the same number back (with rounding error). Incredible you noticed, High!

It's a matter of who has the most to lose. In a tariff war (which A> is unlikely unless trump just doesn't listen to economists B> seems completely the opposite of what Republicans normally love), the US loses Walmart's low-low prices (essentially, everything gets more expensive so everyone has less money to spend) and China loses a major importer of goods (21%of China's exports, so it seems). My gut says it hurts the US more than China.

I hope they gave him another 2+10.

Presumably get ready for the week of 2PM happy hours that you'll be required to attend for work, if my read of your bosses is right.

That's the spirit!

There are parallels, I think it's harder to go the other way; once you downhill ski and then try to skate you miss all the ski boot ankle support and being able to lean forward and backward without dying.
-
The Sabres have benefited from that recently, but it's still exceedingly rare and shouldn't be counted on. If we want Kulikov next season, better keep him and sign him (post Expansion draft).

Interesting, do you know how the rules work? If I make a Pumpkin Lager in Brussels, can I call it Belgian? Or if I make a open vat, top fermented ale in Dunkirk with all Belgian-sourced ingredients, can I call it Belgian?

Taylor Fedun -- Am I crazy, or is he pretty decent?
MattPie replied to nfreeman's topic in The Aud Club
He wouldn't be the first guy to either show up for a bunch of games and then realize how crazy good he's playing and fall off a cliff (hang on, I have a call from MA Grangani). He also wouldn't be the first D to take a long time to put it together and become a competent 5/6.
