  1. This wouldn't surprise me; the team has enough to worry about outside of the "maybe we'll see this every 5 games" drill.
  2. Last one, I promise: if [ git checkout yourself == false ] ; then rec yourself ; fi
  3. Somehow, I think this isn't the venue for code humor, pal. git rm yourself!
  4. Oh myyyyy... http://www.victorybeer.com/beers/java-cask/ Hint: it's a 750ml, and as strong as wine. Under no circumstances drink a couple Storm Kings on either side of it.
  5. Interesting point there: at what point does Sammy decide to not sign with the TT-led Bills and go to a team that has a throwing QB? It's gotta creep in that Tyrod isn't going to make him a star and you only get one ot two chances in the NFL to do that.
  6. That one too, although it's not one I immediately think of.
  7. The only way I change that is given the two centers we have now (not then), *maybe* a natural winger would be my pick, but that has nothing to do with Samson's play. Having three solid true centers is never a bad thing.
  8. Must be, because it's either the American Medical Association or American Motorcycle Association.
  9. There are certainly people that have the ability to outperform ABS. I think Doohickie is on the right path though that the set of people that are better than ABS, in a situation that they can significantly outperform ABS, and (this is the big one) they're prepared and focused to perform maximum effort braking is vanishingly small. It's one thing to beat ABS in tests where the driver is ready to perform the maximum for each test, it's another to be that vigilant on your entire 40-minute commute home on a Wednesday night. I consider myself a student of the driving arts (ha), but I know that in panic braking situations I'm not that good. A motorcycle magazine ran ABS vs. not tests awhile back and for that test, the best humans could do bested the ABS by 2 ft in stopping distance on dry pavement. On wet, only one guy could beat ABS consistently and when asked, he was using tricks like, "well, the manhole is only 2 ft wide so I can just let the front tire slide over that and it'll be fine, where the ABS detected the lock-up but didn't recover immediately when it got back onto pavement. My bike has ABS; I know that in an emergency it'll be better than me.
  10. Man, how can you tell what shoes they're wearing? (hey, o.)
  11. I feel I should say something about tires. Modern snow tires are the bomb. If I lived where it snowed a lot I would have them on all my cars. I narrowly made the decision to put all-seasons on Van-dor a couple weeks ago. If not for it requiring run-flat tires, I would have seriously considered putting snows on and then getting new rims and tires in the spring. What do yo think?
  12. Ouch Kane, 4th line on the wrong wing?
  13. Year? The early stuff was OK, but not great. The newer stuff is a lot better. For instance, the computer doesn't just see the wheel locked up, it notices if one wheel is slowing down faster than the rest or if the wheels are slowing down faster than the car should be able to (i. e., it knows the car can't go from 60-0 in 1 second) and adjusts. I should look up some studies to see. Now, there are situations where ABS doesn't make sense. Gravel is one, where apparently the vehicle will stop better with a locked up tire as it will plow a small hill in front of the tire which has more friction to push than a rolling wheel. I could see the same thing applying to snow, although I'm more skeptical as to how often that happens.
  14. Y'all are crazy if you don't like ABS. It's way better at minimum stopping distance than any person (other than a pro in controlled conditions).
  15. Yep. That McD's was "cited" for serving the coffee too hot several times before that incident. They were serving it near boiling.
  16. Yep, I used to eat like that too at that age. Enjoy it while it lasts. (Small beef and 10 wings is around 3 wings too many when I go to Bar Bill now)
  17. I don't think traction control actually locks the wheels, at least not modern systems. I usually leave it on, although I barely notice it working either. That could be because I have a WRX with Sporty Winter Tires and a sense of how to drive. I'm not some FWD driver mashing on the gas figuring the car will go faster.
  18. I love that these posts are consecutive, even if they're not talking about the same player.
  19. Only Everywhere does is it go from X to Y in one day. Fill in as appropriate. :) (It's around 20 this morning with 20-25 mph winds, here)
  20. I know I've seen faceoffs at center ice in that situation. "Soe-ry, we'll drop it centre, eh?"
  21. Winner! @$2386 (I kid, I kid, $2385)
  22. Why just one-on-one? I think he's OK in normal game action, although I don't know how much of that is sheer size. One on one it doesn't look like he's mobile enough (or at least doesn't react fast enough) to stop well-executed shots and dekes. I'm hoping a GT coach can get his positional play, that might help.
  23. Heh, good point. Now I don't know what to do; especially as I'm not fond of Jack Daniels. This wasn't a well thought out plan.
  24. Yep, I still see Jack at 80 proof (I'm going with that until it catches on, BTW). He's not skating down guys from behind to pick their pockets and blowing by guys like last year.
  25. I are an ejineer. @$2285. 1 on Buffalo, +100.
