I thought pretty highly of Dan Paille before his Sabre career quickly stagnated. I'm sure I had a post or two about that. I even bought his jersey. Luckily I switched that to Mike Grier a year or two later, which served me well at BU games.

And we definitely have a poster or two who do exactly this. If you beat the same subject into the ground over and over, some do eventually think it is fact. I actually have my own little nickname for this practice based on a poster here.

I'm actually kind of bothered by all the people saying they don't want to post because they aren't as knowledgeable as others. Post! You'll quickly find out that there is much more discussion out there to be had and that many are at a very similar level as you are. A little extra discussion never hurt anyone.

I'm pretty sure it's a security feature that stops people from spamming the board with an endless barrage of posts. I've seen it in other boards where a spambot will flood a thread with posts, slowing down the server. That's probably a thing of the past now though because most boards do this post merging thing now. Funny, the second I saw this post I thought to myself "hey, it's BTP!".

It's free now? Sweet. It seemed like cheap move by the league when it was originally announced that you'd have to pay for it.
