Shouldn't Browns fans start frothing at the mouth at any mention of the Browns?

I'm amazed Thorburn has lasted in that organization as long as he has. That type of marginal talent is almost always the one who gets bumped for younger/cheaper talent as they get older. That or at least they bounce around the league from team to team.

I heard the Ravens/Steelers one referred to this week as there being a lot of mutual respect between the players on each side. Now Steelers/Bengals, that's where the hatred is.

The early Laker/Celtic run for the NBA would probably be very similar to the NBA. Basically, if you're going to introduce that hard cutoff for the NHL based solely off of one team, you probably have to use the same point for every single league.

His arm is down at contact. Any follow through with the arm does not make it a penalty. He would have to lead with a raised elbow, which he did not do. Targeting the head is a different story with way too much gray area for me to dive into, but this one was in no way an elbow.

But does the new team try to throw him out there right away or do they give him some time to develop/learn? With the way it went in DC, I can't see him starting anywhere in week 1 next year... well, unless there's a crazy injury scenario.

My dad had to go in for one recently and he's got a really bad case of Parkinson's. I don't even want to know how they got that done.

I'd say it's pretty clear that the elbow was tucked and came up on the follow through after comment. There's nothing illegal with that. I haven't seen enough yet to have any opinion on whether or not he targeted the head.

The NFL division structure is much easier for me to go through in my mind. I still can't get over this 7 vs. 8 thing in the NHL.

I really don't mind it most of the time. It's usually just a fairly short warmup period for me and I tend to like the treadmills more for that. I'll probably go for the lower impact elliptical this week though since I've learned quickly to not mess with a knee if it's hurting.

Both boards or just this one? I haven't ventured over to the dark side yet to see what's going on there.

The sounds those machines make drove me mad when I had mine. I could only stare at the clock for so long while listening to that. They need a tv or something. And my story of the weekend is that you don't officially own the house until you've fallen down the stairs.

Last week I decided to get back into things after missing a couple weeks due to being out of town by attempting to go much faster on the treadmill than I usually do. I don't know why this is always my plan, but it left my legs hurting quite a bit this weekend. I enjoy that kind of pain though when you know that you earned it, as opposed to it just being from getting older. Friday night though, I was moving carrying my empty bin for Christmas decorations down the stairs and I slipped down a few. I tweaked something in my knee, but like I said earlier in the thread, no excuses this year. I'm going to get right back to it after work today. I'll use an elliptical for my warmup instead of a treadmill, but otherwise, no changes.
