  1. Who are three people who have never been in my kitchen? But anyway, Zemgus and Gaudreau both played there. I'm not sure of any Bylsma connection.
  2. 2nd best Comedy Central show of all time. But anyway, every time I see this 3OA abbreviation, I'm reminded of why I hate the internet.
  3. 15% of zero is still zero. Seriously though, I got a bump like that two different times, but it took finding a new job to get it. I sure would love a 15% boost right about now.
  4. I had heard the story already and wasn't going to click on it until I read your post. That has to be inky under that costume. I refuse to accept any other possibility. And the world needs more people like this woman. Her attitude about the whole thing is great. You just know every single ambulance chaser was lining up outside that ballpark.
  5. It still feels like they were never prepared to actually use those three consecutive picks and just winged it.
  6. So in other words, you never believe Hamilton except for those times where you do believe him? ;)
  7. I want Zadina just so that you'll finally stop begging this team to draft a Halifax player. It should buy us at least one year off from that, right?
  8. We have these stories every year it seems. This sounds exactly like Claude Julien in Boston. The hockey gods really like to string us along before spitting in our faces.
  9. Liger, have you ever tried not getting so damn angry when you disagree with someone? As I read this, I'm waiting for the news story about someone's heart exploding while talking on the internet.
  10. We have a program we use to summarize continuous data that is named "cont". It's a fun one to try to pronounce in front of a room full of people without getting a call from HR.
  11. Can you just block him or is like like here where if someone quotes someone you have blocked, you see it anyway? I have no idea how things work over there.
  12. I saw this one somewhere else. Can someone explain this to me? Just a wise crack about the worst team in the league? https://twitter.com/SlavaMalamud/status/1009081038201675776
  13. You say you're off observing Ramadan, but thanks to this alleged broken rib, I'm thinking your annual extended vacation from the board is something completely different. What have you really been doing?
  14. Or you could, you know, just not read his twitter stuff...
  15. That name doesn't look french enough for them. Will they try to convince him to change it, Kotkaniemier or something?
  16. Could you imagine the reaction he would get from Ottawa fans every single game if he was still there? It would die off over time, but at the start of the season it would get incredibly ugly. Was there ever any talk that what was said might actually be true? I didn't read much about it beyond the initial breaking of the story. That possibility might as well be acknowledged along with everything else. It would still be a horrible thing to go and post about online, but it's just as plausible as anything else out there. Now if it has already been shot down, I'll quietly back away and pretend I never said anything.
  17. Scrolling through some of that makes me very happy that I don't do twitter. It's nothing but a long series of Brick Tamland "loud noises!" posts.
  18. It’s an undervalued talent.

  20. No, learn how to spell your players names or get the hell out... Or subtly refer to them every single time as he or him.
  21. I had that with Stranger Things recently. I had been meaning to watch it for a while but finally found the free time. I watched one episode on a friday and then finishes the rest of season 1 on saturday. By wednesday, I was through the second season. It helps that they have a few less episodes per season than most netflix shows, but I've never gone through one that quickly.
  22. The office loud talker is currently complaining to parking service here that someone left a tiny scratch on her car door in the parking garage. "Every day I can't concentrate on my work because I'm worried that I'll find another mark!" I'd love to know what she is expecting from them, her own special parking spot surrounded by a 3 foot buffer on each side maybe? I wasn't sure if this one belonged here or in the complaint thread, but I'm at her too much, so it's better here.
  23. It's a tough one. I'd call Lidstrom the greatest defenseman of his generation. Meanwhile, I'm not so sure that Forsberg was even the best forward on his own team at any given point. It may not be fair to hold Joe Sakic against him when talking about all-time swedes, but on top of that, his window was so short. It would be like including Terrell Davis on a list of all time great RBs. I'll admit to having a Nik Lidstrom bias though. He didn't win a single Norris trophy until he was 31 years old but still wound up with 7 of them. It's a crazy stat. If he had gotten a little more acknowledgment earlier in his career, he winds up with more than Orr (granted his was a short career). He kept getting second place in the voting over and over.
  24. Both houses next to me have now been sold. I really wish the people had closed and moved in at the same time. It would be a nice social experiment to see who I could drive out first.
  25. I'm sure Beethoven was rebelling against something.
