The swarming as they approached the 18th green was absolutely amazing to watch.

They have had a significant amount of black in their jerseys for 20 years now, something that’s nowhere to be found in the alternate/throw back. But thanks for the snark, appreciate it.

Someday the plague that is dark colored uniforms will be purged from this world. It’s happening slowly.

I’m at a place that is currently playing better days by the goo goo dolls. It makes me miss good Sabres hockey

I’m waiting for the follow up story in the national news about an American impaled by an elephant tusk.

Soft outsides to helmets should create a whole new type of problems. When something soft hits something, it essentially grabs onto it. So what you’d get is a full body in motion, which will remain in motion while the head stops at impact, resulting in a wave of neck injuries.

The federation was always the higher level varsity league in the area. It's been around forever at this point. It was there when my brother started high school in '88, but I have no reason to know how it was any longer ago than that.

My lawn treatment company is trying to switch to text notification for when they are scheduling service as opposed to calling. I want absolutely nothing to do with that. Allowing companies to text me opens the door to them spamming me. I’ll stick to the voicemails, thank you.

I was hoping someone would post it.

Is it really all that different than many other businesses, especially the larger ones? It operates on a different scale, but I'm willing to bet you'll find similarities just about everywhere. As people have already said, each individual is going to be different, but in general, the bottom line is going to rule at the end of the day. And this trend of comparing things to slavery really needs to stop. The only comparison I'm willing to accept is "pro sports are nothing like slavery". In a world where we still have human trafficking issues, whether it's sex trade or whatever else, it's just plain stupid. If you want to take a setting where people are given 6+ figure salaries to play a game, then say it is just like another system where people would be tortured or killed if they refused to do your work, you've immediately lost me.

There needs to be some line when it comes to expectation though. Two hockey players tied up and a punch gets thrown. Where have I seen that before? Oh yeah, pretty much every single game I've ever watched.
-
Yeah, I see "a gun in my car was stolen" and it kind of reads like "one of the guns in my car".
-
They were squared up for a decent amount of time before that though. What you're arguing there actually seems like the reverse of what would qualify in my mind. Dropping the gloves and then throwing the punch takes longer than throwing a shot with the gloves still on. The dropping of the gloves paired up with being tied up for a bit is exactly the warning I'm talking about. Typically that would tell the player "hey, maybe I should protect myself". Don't look away while somebody is up in your face. Cheap? Yes. Sucker punch? No. Again, semantics.
-
A year or two ago my town sent out an email to warn people about someone doing this stuff. The email listed the things that had been stolen. That list included two cars that were left unlocked overnight with the keys inside! That had to have been one of the most idiotic things I have ever heard. I'd imagine they were keyless starters, but even with that, I don't understand how people can be so incredibly stupid... then again, I've been posting here for 10+ years.?

I realize that he's not interested in fighting, but if a guy is tying you up like that, maybe, just maybe you should keep your eye on him instead of looking to the ref for help. I feel like there was more than enough warning for Ekblad to call that one a sucker punch. It's mostly semantics though. Either way, the whole thing is pretty cheap from Domi.

It sucks to be the people who were driving in the other direction on the highway this morning. I passed by a 5 car collision and then a short walk beyond it, another 4 car crash.
-
That's what qualifies as a sucker punch these days? Stupid, yes, but hardly what I was expecting after I read the description.

UPDATE: Sam Reinhart signs 2-year extension -- $3.65MM per year
shrader replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
If he throws a good year out there this season, they'll probably be locking him up with the longer deal at this time next year. -
The PS2 worked fine for me, granted I did play one of the later games from that system. There's a big jump between the N64 and the PS2 though, so maybe that might be the line where it becomes unbearable.
-
I think the depth does have significant value to the organization. We've seen plenty of cases where that first wave of recalls can make or break a season. Jason Pominville is the perfect example. I'm not going to say that is who either guy is, especially since for every Pominville, there's probably 10 Chris Thorburns (granted, a guy who stuck around for a long, respectable career).
-
I actually did that with the PS2 earlier in the summer. It was a nice change of pace. And I'll be all over Red Dead Redemption too. I pick up at most 2 new games a year and that one will be my first of 2018.
-
When it comes to waiver claims, the whole thing is such a crap shoot. I think they'd clear too, but all it takes is one GM who has always been enamored with a certain player since he was drafted. Is Darcy still in the Phoenix organization?
-
The kid must have a bunch of uncles if it can be a once per year thing.
-
I still have a functioning PS2 and all of the original PS games that I liked. So it won't be a purchase I'll be making. I feel like they've reissued the so called "classic versions" of their biggest games on the newer systems, so most should already be available if you really want them. Still, I'll be curious to see if Metal Gear Solid winds up on that machine. The combo of that and FFVII would make for a ton of sales.

Why do cats always get crazy names?
