  1. That's the equivalent of Lesean McCoy being a full go in his offseason two-hand touch league.
  2. Isn't there something where the players aren't actually under contract with the teams, but with the league itself? Or was that from the old league as well?
  3. So does he wind up taking Corey Coleman's job? It's kind of funny if that's the case.
  4. I'm not so sure I'd say it's the bottom roster guys. It seems like it would probably be more aimed at guys who are fighting for one of the depth spots, the first wave of call-ups.
  5. I've come to expect it from you.
  6. People are always looking for nicknames. I feel like you just stumbled onto a perfect one.
  7. Once we get this game out of the way, does that get us to the point where they send most of the major junior guys back to their teams? I feel like they usually do that after maybe a week of camp.
  8. Did they get the bike from the Ryan brothers? If those two could ride it, I'm pretty sure all three can ride together.
  9. The full list provided was either expiring contracts or toxic situations. I'm not comfortable throwing O'Reilly under the same label as Hoffman, but I will call it a case where the relationship between team and player was pretty much done. These are all scenarios that limit the number of suitors.
  10. Mahomes is surrounded by more weapons than an army base. It's interesting to see what a guy can do when he's handed all the tools, as opposed to when he's given nothing but an allen wrench. And I'm really not trying to make a cheap pun there. It's the first tool that came to mind since I've got a stack of them from all of the crappy pieces of furniture I've put together.
  11. I assumed it was a photoshop at first.
  12. Over the last two days I've seen at least 4 cars with dogs hanging out the driver side window. The most recent one today was a golden, so pretty damn big dog to have on your lap while you're driving. Cops would pretty much have to pull you over if they saw this, right?
  13. I thought it was the guy that stole the Hummel
  14. The whole thing is so unpredictable. There are countless guys each year who clear that are in this same boat, guys who the fans think would never make it through. Personally, I'm in favor of keeping them on the roster and sending down the younger waiver-free guys (except for the Eichels and Dahlins of the world). Depth is too important to mess around with. For the young guys who deserve to be up, that situation usually takes care of itself with all of the inevitable injuries.
  15. And to add to that: At the start of the league year, every player under an NHL contract counts as being with the big team. A move needs to be made to send them to the AHL. So it doesn't matter if a guy was in the minors at the end of the previous season. Everything starts over.
  16. What if it's one of those "1000 ways to..." kind of deals? They could be going for style points as opposed to stealth.
  17. Yes.
  18. He's improved in all categories except explosiveness.
  19. If anything, I'd say they initially got better but then returned back to where they started. So it's not so much that he's made them worse, he just hasn't made them better.
  20. It's different if they had any success? That sentence applies to just about everyone involved in the discussion; Toronto, the Isles, and Tavares.
  21. Is she using the severed junk for that second act (or would that be the 2nd through 8001st act?)? That seems like it could be an extra slap in the face to you.
  22. Exactly. I'd say it's pretty obvious that she did in fact read her own work.
  23. It's a bit of uncharted territory with Eichel. He's pretty much always been one of the young guys on any team. It'll be interesting to see how he grows into that veteran leadership role.
  24. I had to look that one up. Flutie wound up going in the 11th round, so I can only assume those are the same people who take Peterman in the first round of their fantasy draft.
  25. It happened while I was sitting in a random class and then I didn't find out until I was waiting in line for lunch at the dining hall. Someone in front of me was freaking out because we were in a building in Boston with the word "Towers" in the name. That came off as really odd to me, but I knew something was up. I didn't really figure it out until I got back to my dorm and turned on the tv. I had one class later that day, which was probably the only one in the entire school that wasn't canceled. The prof started with some horrible talk about how this was no big deal. I was slamming my head on my desk wondering why he would try to say something like that knowing that a good portion of the university was from NYC/NJ and there pretty much had to be connections to the disaster right there inside that room. The guy was completely clueless. On a side note, right before that class, I ran into someone from my high school (2 years older) who I had no idea went their as well. We caught up for a bit, but then I never ran into him again after that (huge school).
