Or you never see it from Buffalo because they're never in it at the end. Just stop and think for a second about how many guys on this team have never seen a playoff game. It's not about a lack of caring, this team is not in it because they're not any good. There's plenty of guys on this team who would be involved in that stuff come April if they were actually still playing (Ristolainen, McCabe, Larsson, etc...). Caring and being good at hockey, they're not the same thing.

They were needed most just now? When I'm looking at the season as a whole and trying to figure out why this team can't score goals, I'm not pointing the finger at those two.
-
Eichel's having a career year and Reinhart is close as well. They've already scored a ton.
-
But it's ok to fling that poo at us because we aren't important and are expendable.

Oh I'm not implying anything whatsoever. I'm flat out stating that your ideas are downright insulting to a vast majority of the American public. But thank god the precious little pro athlete has an advocate.
-
Someone who pays people to drill is well aware that there are jobs other than pro athlete that are very physically demanding. I want to ignore most of these posts and just poke fun at an idiot, but that one point above has to be one of the most insulting things I've ever seen. I was eating the popcorn, but now I'm throwing it. I guess I'll have to be removed from the thread.

Even more reason to love lawyers.

I forgot that some people take everything literally. I'm not going to get too technical here, but let me plot the number of fights per year: \ Seriously, look at these numbers. I'm not really sure why that separate portion of 2018-2019 is listed, but whatever, the full year is there. So in just 20 year, the number of fights has dropped by roughly 66%. I'd love to see some older numbers because I'm wondering if I may have to switch my incredible graph above to an "I".

An owner pushing for more money for someone other than the owners? Again, time to re-think the theory.

An owner pushing for more payment to players? You may need to work on that theory a bit.

You folks are burning the popcorn with all these direct responses.

And the loss of Thompson and Lazar, their top two points per game players. They also lost their all star goalie somewhere in there and their top defenseman has been riding the shuttle back and forth to Buffalo.
-
And don't even get me started on the carpal tunnel syndrome risk. @SDS, I demand a raise!
-
And just wait until they start to work the live gambling into games as that starts to become legal everywhere. You bet on Curtis Lazar to win that draw and then boo as he's ejected from the circle. Throw him out! And then there's ref booing. They make so much less than the players. Why should we be allowed to hurt their feelings like that? Ref boos = lifetime ban. I feel like there's a different one I'm thinking of, but yeah, Thriller is the winner.

They're not allowed unless you have some sort of facial injury. That much I've never understood. Why would they stop anyone who actually wants to protect themselves? It's not like it enhances their performance in anyway, short of maybe being a bit more bold with shot blocking. There used to be the fighting argument, but as that has more or less disappeared from the game, so that doesn't mean much anymore. The most marketable game in this country has face shields, so they shouldn't be worried about that. And if it is a marketability thing, there are a million other things they should be focusing on. I don't see the need to mandate them, but let them wear them if they want to. What's next, banning the cup?

"Re-sign or replace"

I now feel vindicated for my decision not to watch the video. It sounds like he'll be fighting Frank Castle once he's back.

That's way too many words for an "I told you so".

Wrong one. I'm not familiar with the blood eagle, but I'm now hoping for the giant cartoon hook that pulls the offender out of the building. Maybe we can modify that and have it come from the ceiling and it turns into a giant claw game.

Grier should go the college route. I'm sure his school would love to have him.
-
Well here's another one for you.

And Pat played for Nolan for a grand total of 89 games which, other than the short return with the rags, marked the end of his career. How much can he really take away from that. Also, when a guy picks Ted Nolan over a legend like Al Arbour, we're probably very lucky that this guy isn't running our organization.

If there was ever a time for that eating popcorn gif, this is it. I don't know what we're watching here, but I can't look away.
