We are definitely not lacking in sources of entertainment in this day and age. If the common medical advise is to cut back on contact between people as much as possible, having teams of 20 men traveling around two countries, hitting each other, and sweating all over each other probably isn't a great idea with or without an empty arena. Entertaining us isn't a good enough reason to force them out there.

Sorry, I wasn't suggesting any snake oil in these posts. It just made me thing of all the other things that have and will be thrown out there that aren't based in reality.

A quick example was this saturday I got to listen to a customer telling a Costco cashier that the olympics were just canceled. *Don't read this as a shot at the current topic. I'm just speaking very generally.

They have standings, even if they're incomplete. Due to the uneven number of games played, they'd probably convert it to points per game, but they have plenty of games to use to determine draft order... and seeding for an abbreviated playoff schedule.

I feel like they should at least have junior or NCAA experience. But yeah, my initial thought when hearing about Walker was the same as yours. They're now going to try to commercialize the emergency goalie position. I bet the league will re-visit that aspect at the end of the year and squash events like this one. Sure, it's a super long shot, but better safe than sorry.

Eh, it's not really complaint worthy for me. I lucked out and there really isn't much damage. It's one of those things that I'm only getting fixed if it's on the other guy's dollar. How's sleeping working out for you with that shoulder. I never had a rotator cuff injury without surgery, but man was it brutal attempting to sleep for a while after that. I'm a side sleeper and that just didn't work at all.

Working from home on a monday would be so much better if it didn't require getting rear ended at a red light. But hey, at least I was past the intersection where a tractor trailer set on fire at exactly the same time that I got hit.
