Those early round picks haven’t been getting moved around in the lead up to the draft in exchange for players in recent years. The first round picks moved for players, those all happen in season. Other than the obvious exception of the Vegas expansion draft deals, there hasn’t even been a handful of players moved for early picks over the last 3-4 drafts (too lazy to go back further) in the days leading up to the draft. The lack of a lottery is not going to have any impact on the trade market this time around.

The wife really needs to stop showing me the idiocy on our neighborhood Facebook page. The latest one (names are changed to protect the innocent morons) ”204 Street ave, we are at 402 Street ave and a package was delivered here by mistake and there’s no name on it” I’d light up that moron if I was on that page. If only each of the houses had numbers on the front telling you which house was which. Just walk the damn thing down the street and stop being so damn lazy.

There should at least be some level of educations about the masks. I can't count the number of times I've seen a news reporter out at a remote location doing their report with the mask pulled down below their chin. One night, they actually did a story on proper mask wearing, then immediately cut away to the reporter with the mask pulled down. This is where the majority of people are getting their information. I hate that they have as much power as they do, but since they do in fact have it, they could be doing so much more good by mandating that their reporters either take the mask completely off while on the air or leave it over their mouth. Now maybe I just happen to watch the only station where the reporters do this. I'm guessing that's not the case, but I'll acknowledge the possibility.

Report: “Another Disconnect” Between Botterill and Krueger

My mind always flocks to the originals, so that is not the quote I was thinking of. Right character, wrong movie. A longer rant has now come to mind, but I'll save it for a PM and not derail this thread. -
An event that they can televise and generate some revenue.

I can’t focus on the single digit possibility. Oh wait, this is probably a topic for the covid thread

I’m not going to dig up the numbers but they typically have a pretty good chance of losing ground after the lottery. This may actually lessen that.

I’m sure @DarthEbriate will have a ball with this one... there is another -
This reminds me of when we first met one of our good friends in the neighborhood. I mentioned the year I was born and then she realized that she graduated from high school that year. You may or may not have been a sophomore that year.

Is it on the internet? Then yes, you should be scared of it.

I'm a statistician and analytics have no changed a thing about my game viewing habits one bit. And that's exactly how it should be. Each of those numbers, they're not something you can see out there on the ice. The stuff you can see, none of that is the least bit advanced. Coincidentally, those are the so called advanced analytics that they spotlight during a Sabre broadcast. They're about as advanced as a hammer. I've never payed one bit of attention to any of the analytics in hockey, even though I have that base of knowledge. Hockey is entertainment for me and I'm not going to let work creep into that world. So it hasn't changed my viewing at all and it really shouldn't for anyone else either. What is has changed is those conversations after the games. That dam has burst and it's never going back up. -
I want to see a pissed off goalie make a run at the art ross and rocket richard trophies just to stick it to the people who think that way. The latter would take some true dedication.

Keep in mind that the guy who put Skinner on Eichel’s wing is not the same guy who put him with Johansson and co. -
Being an SOB is a symptom too? Add every single poster on this board to the list.

There's also going to be a slight lag between the confirmed cases and the death count. Those who test positive today who are going to die, they're not going to die until X number of days later. So your confirmed case curve and your death curve should run mostly parallel, but the death curve will be shifted slightly to the right (towards future dates).

And even if you do successfully leave that TP trail, you wind up using all of it anyway. So not only do you not have enough TP, you're also now lost.

The Butte Bombers? They really settled on that name? His left leg looks broken. They never mentioned slinky legs too.

I refuse to play any role in the inevitable head injuries from you on a skateboard.

The one thing I’m glad about was that it was me and not someone else. All too often stuff like this happens and then someone is posting a picture of the kid on the neighborhoods Facebook page asking who he is. I’m not in that page, but if I was, that’s something that would be completely off limits, no public shaming of kids. I figured this one out by asking a friend with a similarly aged kid, then the wife reached out to the parents privately. I think this kid had one previous incident on there, so I know the mother appreciated this approach. And before anyone asks, the wife is on that page, so she occasionally points out the idiocy of that Facebook group.

That’s some really odd reporting. This is another in a long line of miscues... I haven’t actually reported on any of them yet, they’re there. Maybe he’s right, but it’s really odd to read it that way. -
Did you pay for any travel to these games at all? You’ll find a very similar practice from the airlines, only giving the money back in vouchers. Sure, some may eventually fight it, but it’s a lot of effort with very little return.

Eh, it’s not all that much fun now that I know more. We have a road that leads into a new neighborhood under development. It has rod blocks up and is closed to traffic. Cars regularly pull up, move the signs, then drive through. I’ve been asking the cops about it a lot lately. Today they finally came out and marked those road blocks with police tape. The kid came out a few hours later and was about to cut the tape so he could skate board down that road. I told him to stop and that the cops just put it out because all of those cars are breaking the law and it needs to stop. The kid made up a ton of excuses and when it became clear I wasn’t going to leave until he did, he held the board over his head and moved towards me. I told him that was a very bad idea. Eventually I fake called the cops to scare him off, it was actually just my wife on the other line. But yeah, when we eventually figured out who the kid is, of course I find out he’s autistic. I don’t think at any point it ever got out of hand, but I’m not crazy about the whole thing. The parents are going to check out the intersection with him tomorrow, so I’m hoping they’ll follow through on the message that he shouldn’t be breaking police tape and a roadblock.

Today was a good day. A teenage kid threatened to hit me with his skateboard after I told him not to break police tape blocking off the street. I haven't had that much fun since this craziness started.

Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch

I had an uncle who looked just like the guy in the freezer (Carbone?). He died right around 20 years ago now (not in a freezer). Every single time I hear Layla, it makes me think of him. And the thing about that movie is that I've seen it so many times on cable, that it's an absolute treat when you stumble onto an unedited version.
