And if nothing else, bodies always get moved around after a GM change. So we at least have something interesting to look out for. -

It's not like there was a great option, but we did just keep the guy who refused to play Skinner with Eichel. -

No, he's asking about the beer guy. And John Adams was a former Sabre draft pick, not a revolutionary. -

I don't know how I'd call it too late. The official offseason is going to start at some undetermined point in the future. As long as they did this before that, it's definitely not too late. -

That has to be an interim GM tag for Adams, right? -
Two first time hires, two failed GMs. I know it's not that simple and that's not yet a pattern, but I really hope they go with someone with NHL experience in a GM role with the next hire. It's not working, time to mix it up. Edit: And immediately after posting this, I see Brawndo's thread and the Sabres' twitter post. I really hope that's an interim tag.

Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch
shrader replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
I caught bits and pieces of each movie in the Star Wars trilogy over the course of the day. I really miss the original versions. Every single addition they made in the 90s re-release sticks out like a sore thumb. And I’m not even talking about the greedo shot first stuff, you can’t randomly insert 90s graphics into a 70s movie and expect it to look right. -
Our ducks are back, so those babies from the other day weren’t from our yard.

I was thinking the same exact thing in terms of TBD being something like this board x50 or 100. That said, the quality of discussion around this place has degraded heavily over recent years. I blame that almost completely on the team.

All I can picture is our season being derailed by a blown achilles.

I regret not responding with "Lexus makes vans now?". That would have been so much better.

Official Lawrence Pilut Signs 2 Year Deal for the KHL
shrader replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
That and people just want to find any reason to complain. Has anyone accused Botterill of poking Hutton in the eye yet? -

Two main differences come to mind immediately. Geese are bigger and the two make very different sounds. The quack vs the honking is very distinct.

While we're throwing hypotheticals out there, maybe it's so simply as being happier back over there. He's not the first and certainly won't be the last guy to go back after a couple years here. Sometimes there's nothing sinister going on at all. If he really wanted to be in the NHL but not with Buffalo, he probably would have been able to make it happen. I think even the team would have worked with him on that if it was the case. So he thinks the KHL is the best path for his career, so be it. -

And it could just as easily be a case of a guy who doesn't want to stay in the NHL. Wasn't there a comment in here earlier that the Sabres wanted him to stick around? True or not, there's really not all that much they can do if a guy wants to go back across the pond. Given the way the entire NHL came to a crashing halt this year, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see a player suddenly reassessing what he wants. But whatever, there's no need for the finger pointing here just for the sake of finger pointing. I'd love to hear from Pilut's camp about his true motivations here, but I suspect that we never will. He's going to disappear into the night, never to be seen again.
