  1. Past hour
  2. I guarantee that KA has not become competent as an NHL GM.
  3. I want to see Levi have a good summer of training and come to camp to win a job, making the goalie position better than it has been in years. This contract is perfect for KA to run his “hopium” roster back, Levi can cook another year, getting a few looks during injury stints.
  4. Clearly I am concerned about that as well which is why I like this Maybe deal... he didnt go out an commit 2 or 3mm a season on a maybe... this buys us sometime to find out. SO to your point I think that is exactly what Adams is doing... and I will even give him credit for that.... not much else but for that.... it to me makes sense.
  5. It’s a silly question, in my opinion, in order to make a point. That’s not how hockey, or the world, works. There are no guarantees.
  6. Terry should be ashamed of what he has done to the Sabres but I personally don't think he cares.
  7. You can’t say the current Sabres playoff drought would not be a thing pre-90’s. Comparing the current Sabres to teams in other eras is not easy to do. The ratio of losing teams to playoff teams was drastically different pre-90’s, but look at how ridiculous 14 years is. Look at what Pegula said, then look at the results. This is what we know about Pegula’s Sabres. He said and promised that winning Cups would be the reason for their existence. He said he would spend money - “drill another well”. What other owner said these outrageous things and then delivered the exact opposite? I can go on but you saw the quality of the FO and coaching that Terry brings in, and you know why. What other team has traded away so many good and great players with nothing to show for it? Terry bought a team with the 4th all time winning percentage that could not get over the hump. He made brash promises of greatness, and then destroyed the brand. This team could be gone long before the new 10 year Key Bank deal is finished. No team has had such consistently poor ownership.
  8. Today
  9. Not good enough. You need more practice reps to shed your positive reputation. Repeat after me: They suck, they suck. Say this 500 times a day, steadily increasing the mantra to 1000 times a day. You will then earn your Aud Room ribbon.🙃
  10. I will be stubbornly uncautious about my positive views of Quinn and Kulich for the upcoming season. I can’t honestly make that same judgment about UPL. As like you, I just don’t know???
  11. I can breathe outside. Glorious.
  12. The same as many young players - consistency.
  13. how utterly bizarre for the Sporting News to refer to him as the Sam Reinhart trade return in the title. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nhl/news/buffalo-sabres-devon-levi-ukko-pekka-luukkonen-sign-deal/ed8d1871031295536fba0fc1
  14. So what does he need improvement on. I do remember Biron getting thrown into a game at 18 where he didnt react and move his glove until after the puck was in the net.
  15. Oh no, Sabres are genius marketers. They are on the cusp of winning the Stanley Cup. It's all coming together. They know more than we do. It's all sooooooooooooo close you can taste it right? Right there. Right in front of you. So close, Like a foot in a crease.
  16. Cheapskate failchildren sportsball owners who are looking to sell the team blow up 40% of (an admittedly somewhat poorly-constructed, and definitely underperforming) roster in order to save even more money.
  17. A young goalie with limited scouting. After a little, the other teams now have their book on him. It’s growing pains.
  18. You don't know much history of the league, do you? Yes, it is the longest running cluster #### in league history, but honestly not sure it even makes the top 10 in league history of horribleness and definitely not the top 5. And if current ownership had owned the team back pre-90s, the playoff drought wouldn't be a thing. A ten year streak of getting past the 1st round might've been eclipsable for this crew, but they wouldn't have come close to 14 years of missing the playoffs in those eras.
  19. This press conference or whatever it was, how much time did it actually take?
  20. No, that doesn't. But even if it did, that came out in 2022. The EPA has been regulating it as a pollutant since 2009. Again what STATUTE declares CO2 (NOT CO) a pollutant?
  21. In other words, nothing. And the "fireworks" are for the sponsor who is giving you lots of money. Are you that offended by a corporate PR event? Have you never worked in a field that sold sponsorships? Obviously Key Bank, the 22nd largest bank in the USA, had no qualms over signing up for another ten years tied to the Sabres.
  22. Goaltenders should not be rushed. Levi is very much on a Ryan Miller trajectory and he spent 3 years, I think, with the Amerks. This will be year 3 for Levi.
  23. You are welcome to rewind the clock 30 years and come up with a super stable organization whose having fireworks over a naminf deal on a place nobody wants. And what makes it unstable? Well the owner has been bottom of the league in spending the last 5 years. Our entire staff is a bunch of yes men that ownership keeps doubling down on. It's the worst run of ownership in the history of the league. The owner keeps divesting from other sports ventures not named the Buffalo Bills.
  24. Oh, I'm not writing him off. Lyons.
  25. Well, no other NHL team has an expiring lease coming up. Dallas is next in 2030. But what exactly makes this situation unstable? Yes there is a question of who will end up owning the arena, but the arena is not going away. The Sabres have made no threats to leave, not overtly or covertly. So they will keep playing at KBC. Crisis averted.
