Jason Robertson rumored to be on the trade block
ponokasabre replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
This is def the type of forward we dont have, id be all over this, especially if we use Quinn to aqcuire a defensman, Marchment would do extremley well here, out Laff and Cliffton, Hello Marchment, although I beleive he has a partial no move -

With next year being an Olympic year, I don't foresee many players going to this.
-
All these different fan bases thinking JJ Peterka isn't worth what he's worth is maddening. I've seen some of the worst trade speculation ever. It's all due to Adams being a goof.

Those groups do not seem well balanced.

Sabres announce Jarmo Kekalainen Hired as Senior Advisor

What was the source of the LaFontaine embittered departure? If I recall correctly the buyout included a non-disclosure clause. -

I personally agree with that assessment. Although I was fine to trade Cozens, I would not have moved him for Norris. I like Peterka and think he still has even more potential with good coaching and a good system. I'm not sure the whole league would agree with that though. I think there are many who would be interested in Norris. Utah would be my first phone call. -

Don't trust him to stay healthy. Not worth the risk imo. I've already said I expect next year's excuse to be "if not for injuries" and I'd rather avoid that probability. -

idk I'm just throwing names around. Disgruntled player for an American born player. Colorado wants to win now so I doubt they'd want prospects. While I do not think anyone on Sabres should be untouchable, for me the primary trade capital is Peterka, Quinn, Norris, Byram, Samuelsson. Arguably some of them might not be considered overly valuable after last season but they are young enough that some teams might see upside as well. Add to that picks and the entire Rochester cupboard except Levi. If you can use any of that in any way to improve this roster do it. -
Wasn't he the oldest guy to score a goal like in his 50s? 52 I think.

And he can make that choice. Because then he can decide how he wants to be remembered. Does he want to be Jeff Skinner or Pavel Bure? Both are going to have more than 700 career points (Skinner at 699, and I figure he plays next season regardless of this year's outcome). One of them might even end up with his name on the Stanley Cup. The other is in the Hall of Fame and has 34 career SHG. Neither played much defense. We could throw Satan in as well. Won a Cup, 700 points, 16 career SHG. There are multiple ways to not play defense and still provide value to a roster. -
Because Peterka has zero interest in playing defense. He doesn’t Why do we want futures? Give me a roster player now. Jason Robertson or Marco Rossi fit that bill.
-
Anyone can learn defense and the right fundamentals, the question is do they want to.

I find that some years it was a trophy given to a centre who was never going to win an Art Ross or Hart trophy but was a good scoring C and good defensively. Since the Lehkonen days the defensive specialist wingers like Gainey and Ramsey are not really in the conversation. Same as the Norris going to a Rod Langway type, it’s now the Art Ross of Dmen. -
It took a good five minutes before I realized there was a beer.
-
For the Selke, you have to: Play center (unless you're Jere Lehtinen). Be listed as a center on NHL.com (see Reinhart) Make the playoffs For myself, I just sort the forwards by +/-: Protas +40, Lehkonen +36, Foegele +36. I like being lazy.

Yea... I think Bear might be my 8th ranked player.

The Canadian broadcasts are constantly talking about his defensive prowess, especially when he is not scoring. No way is he in the same league as Barkov, Kopitar etc.. -
