Sabres looking for Senior Advisor for Adams and Hockey Department
Broken Ankles replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
…or it your son, and ALL of his classmates have failed for 5 straight years, and the teacher, who doesn’t have tenure isn’t fired but rather the principal allows the teacher to hire an “advisor” - who is a retired college professor, but answers to the failed teacher. And the principal then lets the teacher hire his recently unemployed frat buddy to help with Math; but only on Fridays. The rest of the week he is remote. -
Don't worry, there's plenty. 😉
-
I really like Marty but there's a such thing as too much Marty, and colour commentating would be well over that line.
-
Doesn't top Dyngus Day, but hanging out in the hammock w/ the pet listening to Yes while waiting for the bats to start doing their thing. Doesn't get too much better than this. And they're now flying around doing their thing,
-
Is Mike Commodore available? (Let the punches to the proverbial 'nads of the fanbase continue until morale improves. Or something to that effect. 😉 )
-
I don't mind Rob Ray all that much, but if he is retiring, I'd look forward to someone new. Just something new, ANYTHING new to keep my interest for a few games.
-
Save up some hate for when he becomes a free agent and signs with the Bruins in another year. 🙂

GDT: Calder Cup QF: Amerks vs Rocket, Gm1: Wed May 14 7p

I kept saying the word complementary over and over as I was reading this exchange. I know we’re Sabres fans and we’re jaded, but it’s perfectly acceptable to have two nice things. - Yesterday

And you’d think that a relationship between yeti and the NHL would be a match made in heaven.
-
I was thinking that too. But he already has a sweet studio gig. Marty also made 4X the money that Rayzor made during their playing days and may not want the hassle of being away from home.
-
It's Sabres Sluggo bad, imo.
-
YES. Although, yeah, the bus has left the barn.
-
I think that the Sabres will experience a major punch in the mouth wake up call when they finally get back into the playoffs. It’ll likely be a brutal sweep, but hopefully a learning experience that leads toward something real. I would just be shocked if they didn’t look severely out of place when they finally get back. We would have to have some significant nastiness injected into the team before then for that not to be pretty big-time embarrassment.
-
Yeah, Sobotka MIGHT've been trying to quit too. He was just too bad of a player by the time he got to Buffalo for anyone to be able to tell.
-
The mountains, the glaciers, the U, and the M are about the only things that stand out. Guess the eye might be a flint arrow head from somebody hunting the mammoth. They should've put a tiny sasquatch in one of the features to mess with Yeti. (Oh, yeah, won't let us use the trademark in a different field, well, #### you, we're gonna mess with Big Foot (and screw with Jack Links too, just because we can).
-
Ah yes, I forgot which one quit on us lol, it's all a blur

2025 NHL Entry Draft Thread, Sabres Draft 9th
Crusader1969 replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
I heard he is really slow. Or should I say, I hope all teams picking from 4-8 consider him slow and value speed and skill above avg skating with physicality. -
The more I look at this, more I don’t like it. It’s mushy. Nothing stands out. It’s pretty bad.
-
He already won the cup so does it really matter? I'm torn on the west because although I don't want Eichel, and I would like to see Canada break the cup drought just so that people stop talking about it (but not the Leafs), I really don't want Jeff Skinner to get his name on a cup sitting in the stands as he is. So Winnipeg? Sure. But I don't think they will get past Dallas. As such, might as well be the rats.

Sabres looking for Senior Advisor for Adams and Hockey Department
DarthEbriate replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
But first, your son got to hire his friend who just graduated 9th grade, but who has no experience as a tutor. Meanwhile, you are calling around for tutors who've gone to college and have a good background in all the topics your son will be taking -- but offering minimum wage, and asking the tutor to work only at the direction and schedule of your son. -

It’s like your son has failed Grade 8 for five straight years so now you decide to get him a tutor for his sixth go around. -

When the 2 are actually in their prime they could be great complements for each other. -

The reason for existence for the Buffalo Sabres has devolved from winning the Stanley Cup to training Kevyn Adams on how to be the GM of an NHL team.
