I promised to lot look until 20 games  into the season.   Maybe I'll peak if they win tomorrow

I mean, being in a playoff spot 10% of the way through the season means very little.  But being in a playoff spot after 8 games following an 0-3 start?  I'm impressed.

Ruff needs to have a chat with Dahlin.

Our C cannot play careless hockey ever, and especially not in late minutes with a small lead.

Can we talk about Mule briefly? The Mule we've seen the past several games can keep his contract and his job for as long as he keeps playing that way.

I have to give Lindy, the coaching and players a great deal of credit.  After the first three horrific games this season was close to being over before it started.  However the put a much better effort against Ottawa, started going to the net and got rewarded.  Now 4-4.  The PK looks like the PK in 2005-6 where they are aggressive and completely taking the time away.  They are also finally protecting their goalie’s crease.  Real progress.  Good things happen when you field a team of NHL players.

Now they need to play even harder tomorrow against a desperate Leafs team and get over 500.  A win tomorrow should make their confidence soar.

Hope Kozak is ok.  He makes a huge difference defensively.

Which is why, if they're smart (?)

UPL is NOWHERE near the net, unless he's just helping with it's placement on the ice 😁

Muel to score one goal was +2200. Imagine smoking enough crack to bet him for two

Muel scoring 2 paid 50k on FanDuel. 😬

He's been noticeably good, and not noticeable for the wrong reasons.

6 games, 4 points. Over 20 minutes a night.

Onto goalie decision watch for tomorrow.

If I were Ruff I would tuck Lyon in bed, read him a story, take his devices away, make sure he gets his rest, and start him tomorrow.

Ellis did good but he has one game under his belt and TOR will be harder to play against after tonight.

Not sure tomorrow is the best opportunity to reintegrate UPL for the same reason.

So.  Are the Sabres getting good?

The Sabres deserved to win that game.  They played a good game but they can step it up.  The Leaves did not see full gear.  We can beat them again.  The big question is who plays in net tomorrow?  It’s exciting hockey.

Timmins has been playing solid D lately.  Nice pickup.

I’ve focused on him often when I watch and he reminds me of Lydman.  Honestly I surprised and impressed. I love guys who give max effort every shift.

Whoever it is we will all be rooting for him.

Go Sabres!

Beat Leafs!

We're playing with confidence.  Which is something I never really saw, even during some decent stretches.

I think something has happened and I'm not trying to get ahead of myself, but they're definitely playing together and for each other.

As Lee Corso says: Not so fast.

When they get and stay above 500 and play with the effort we have seen recently nearly every night, then we can say their good.

It’s also amazing what happens when you get good consistent goaltending.

Less than 24 hours between games?  I don't think that's going to happen

UPL or Ellis, doesn't matter.  Bring the effort and they can beat them again

Great to hear new voices in postgame interviews.

Smart. Upbeat. Good insights.

Not the same canned answers.

There we go. Can't wait to look at the standings tonight!

If anything the last 10 years has taught me is that the Sabres never win three straight
