St. Louis could be a possible trade partner for something. They are off to a bad start so might be looking for a shake up start. Maybe they want Ellis back? I'd talk to them if I was Adams.

Given that he just returned from a concussion, it looked liked his head jerked back when they collided. It likely was enough to reignite the injury. I know from experience that after having a concussion you’re more sensitive to sudden head movements for awhile.

I suppose that might have been it but you'd wonder if maybe he shouldn't have been back if that's all it took.

Was bored thus watched Carolina and Boston...boy Carolina sure are soft (I think even softer then our beloved Sabres) and Joker is absolutely awful...amazing that the B's even play him. Gave away pucks numerous times and just looks terrible. I find it weird that the B's have ex=Sabres. Even stranger is that they are actually winning!

Which is a good thing, no way do i want Gavin McKenna in a Bruins uniform.

It is weird. Mittlestadt has had issues too. They sat him one game but since that he's actually started to look good. 

Jokiharju is bad, but so was Lohrei. Aspirot has been a surprise. He's playing similar to Timmons for the Sabres. Zadorov McAvoy really seems to work this year though.

lol, they aren't a good team and if injuries keep hitting (Elias Lindholm is a big loss)  they can fall fast but I watched Calgary Philly yesterday and I'd say they have a much better chance of being dead last. That was likely the dullest and most inept game I've seen in a few years. Just bad.

Yes Cagary are pretty bad...the Bruins ran Carolina's goalie at onepoint and there was no respomse. Not sure why they (Carolina) thnk adding Ehlers is going to help them beat Florida...another soft player is not what they need.

They were obsessed with replacing someone for the whole Guentzel Necas Rantanen debacles. The guy they might really be missing though is Brent Burns. That old dude keeps chugging along. They are still good but I can't see them being any better than before and likely they don't get out of the division. 

Florida is interesting because with their injuries a little bad luck and they could miss the playoffs. If they make the playoffs though they could win the cup. If one or two teams in the division get hot they will have trouble though. The door is open for the Sabres (or someone else) to seize the moment but I doubt Adams will do anything to make sure that happens.

Milan Lucic is coming to the AHL.

The Springfield Thunderbirds announced Tuesday that they have signed the forward, a veteran of 17 NHL seasons, to a professional tryout deal. Lucic, 37, had gone to training camp with the St. Louis Blues, Springfield’s parent club, on a tryout in September. He played four preseason games before an injury sidelined him. This move to Springfield will be his first AHL stint.

The Blues beat Edmonton at home on Monday and then went on the road. 

 

They play the Caps tonight and the Sabres in a back to back tomorrow.   This should be advantage Buffalo.

Agree.   While it is fun seeing Rosen, Östlund, and Dunne all contribute, their presence says we are running very thin, especially with Geertsen out there as well. 

Kulich adds scoring punch and I think Kozak was becoming a very solid contributor in his own right. 

Kozak might be the shut down forward we have been looking for.

I'm a big fan of Kozak and have been since he flat-out stonewalled Rempe in the WHL. I still think at the moment he's a 13 -- perfect to fill in up-and-down the lineup in the bottom 9. By the trade deadline this season, though, he could be a legitimate 4C who can still float up the lineup. He could make Krebs expendable. He's got to get the FO% up while he's on this 2-year contract. Kozak's biggest issue thus far has been staying healthy (even in the AHL).
