Isak Rosen is currently on pace for 72g and 144pts in the AHL. Really curious how he does in Rochester and if he'll get a callup.

I still think Rosen will be a useful middle six NHL player. I think his floor is Victor Olofsson. Rosen is currently 9 months younger than Olofsson was when Olofsson first played an AHL game.

Amerks going to need some muscle.  Crunch trying to put everyone through the boards.  Came after Mrtka already.

Well someone who might help a little with that on the Sabres

Fought Rempe in the opener

Fought Zadorov in Boston

Got a ten minute misconduct for verbal abuse of officials from the bench after the Dahlin-Marchand incident

Or don't call up Dunne because Geertsen is already up.

Man I poo poo'd the Mrtka a bit when it happened cause I wanted the pick traded, but he looks like the real deal. When he is ready he is gonna be a big piece for the Sabres D core for a long long time

He's a different type player than Byram....but if Bryam's deal is 2 years...right about the time you would want Mrtka easing into the lineup if he keeps on getting better.

The Rochester Americans (2-2-0-0) prepare to host their second home game of the season as they face-off with the undefeated Syracuse Crunch (4-0-0-0) tonight at Blue Cross Arena.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen was reassigned to Rochester on a conditioning stint and will start tonight.
Amerks alternate captain Brendan Warren is slated to play in his 200th game as an Amerk, becoming the 63rd forward in franchise history to reach said milestone.

Amerks win 4 zip. Levi with the goose egg.

So, the Sabres might have 3 goalies.  They look like they do.  Do they have 4?

(And yes, not even being out of October is way to early to be making any final pronouncements on the GTing.)

I think Levi is pinned to the Amerks unless an emergency necessitates a call up. Sabres still have three goalies.

Agree that Levi isn't going to get called up anytime soon barring emergency.  That was kind of the point of them grabbing Georgiev and Ellis.  But, if they do hit a situation where they are forced to call another up; he should be able to step up.

I’d have to think that he gets the call over Georgiev at least.  It yes, that’s definitely an extreme emergency scenario.
