Interesting about the pride jerseys, but did anyone bring this up when the Sabres signed Reimer?  I must have missed it if they did.

I'm not going to debate the entire wear a jersey or don't thing. I think there's an avenue where someone can accept something and still not support it.

If I was the Sabres I would have certainly not led with this information. It's overall meaningless as some have pointed out. He's getting paid to listen and provide some insight.. but mostly get experience to go get a job elsewhere.

The Sabres could have tabled this entire conversation or buried it in a larger announcement of a Senior Advisor. 

Whatever, it's the Sabres, anyone expecting them to get it right should have learned their lesson by now.

I was kinda hoping KA would luck his way into success somehow as Terry absolutely refuses to make the necessary changes within the org but hiring his drinking buddy from his playing days seems to indicate we are still on the downward trajectory.  
 

I thought 13 games was rock bottom but clearly we are headed for a time period where we are all going to want the team to just go away.  I’m not sure if a worse hire could have been made. Just no pulse on the fans, the community or the organization’s needs.  I want to vomit.

Over the last 14 years I learned to lower my expectations and have finally gotten to the point of having no expectations except one...never making the playoffs again under this current owner. We are all in an abusive relationship at this point with no end in sight to breaking this unfortunate, sad cycle.

Attached is a WGR link where Eric Staal was interviewed on the Sabres Live Show.  What does his hiring add to the organization? He's been with a lot of teams and still is familiar with a lot of players. If he can give some insight in some of the players the Sabres are interested in dealing for, then why not have another voice in the room?

There are plenty of things about this ragged organization to get upset with. This inconsequential hire is not one of them. Whether they brought him in or not, who cares. If people find this hiring as a trigger to stoke additional anger about this backwater franchise, then I recommend that they tune out for a spell and get refreshed.

But you can’t lead the “offseason of change” with a guy who never bothered to show up to the Sabres and most of the fans despise.
