JoeSchmoe Posted April 25 Report Posted April 25 I'm surprised to see him going, especially after being snubbed for the 4 Nations. https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/tage-thompson-matty-beniers-highlight-usa-initial-roster-2025-world-championship Quote
xzy89c1 Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 he was not snubbed. Those games were always going to be remarkably close games with mistakes needing to be avoided at all costs. Thompson and Tuch are to mistake prone right now. Cannot be trusted especially in own zone. 1 1 Quote

GoPuckYourself Posted April 30 Report Posted April 30 Yeah i couldn't believe Thompson wasn't going over Kreider, that's mind boggling to me. Quote
xzy89c1 Posted April 30 Report Posted April 30 Kreider was an extra winger who would not have played, and barely played, without injuries. He was there for leadership. Thompson and Tuch have a lot to prove as 3 zone players to make Olympics. Thompson on wing helps his chances. If the top two are Eichel and Mathews, there is no place for Thompson as center. Also no place for 30 percent on draws. Hopefully, he will be full time winger next year. Better for him and the Sabres. Quote

LGR4GM Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 Was Tage named an Assistant Captain? I thought I saw that today but can't confirm it. Quote

It's about time. I always admire the guys who show up for these things. They don't have to, but the national pride aspect is admirable for all of them, all countries. 3 3 Quote

Crosby and MacKinnon are going for Canada, that is a big boost. 1 Quote
