When you are talking about the best of the best, these are the kind of things that separate one guy from the next.

But that's not what I was commenting on. It was the absurdity that Jackson was ***** off pre game and caused them to lose.

I loved watching the shots before and at the beginning of the game with Lamar laughing, not warming up much, and just chill in with his chain gang.  Like this is just a stroll in the park. Sure, showed on the field.  Body language was poor.

This is nonsense.

And I replied specifically to taro and his comments, not you. But yeah, I understand how we lose track of stuff like that. We’ve all been there.

Lamar Jackson, 21 of 27, 288yrds, 3tds, 35 more rushing. Josh Allen 22 of 28, 218yrds, 3tds, 25 more rushing yards.

Other than the coded language in here, he was excellent against the Lions.

Wadr, Jackson wasn't excellent Sunday night.  He was Romo.  Great stats, but had a critical fumble on 4th down in the red zone and got outscored 17-7 in the 4th while taking about 4 sacks in the 4th (and 7 total).  The only reason they even got the 7 points in the 4th is the Lions inexplicably couldn't tackle on 3rd and a million on a little dump off.

It'll be interesting to see how their game vs the Chefs plays out this weekend.  The cool thing is one of them will, barring a very unlikely tie, be 1-3 at the end of the game.  The scary thing is one of them will be 2-2 and thinking they've righted their ship moving forward.

I didn’t catch all of the game but I did see that 4th down fumble. That one sums up my view of him. It was the same way in the playoff game last year. He had a solid game overall, but the couple early mistakes put his team in an early hole they could never escape.

His defense gave up 31 points on their own. Lamar Jackson isn't the problem in Baltimore anymore than Allen is in Buffalo.

Right. We were making different points.

Who thought that those Cardinals uniforms would look good.  It's like they were all standing behind a monster truck when it spun its wheels in the mud. 🤨

It was hilarious this afternoon as NFL Network had Kyle Brandt on one of their shows and had him talking up how good those unis look.  Pretty sure at one point he mentioned how "clean" they look.  LOL.

So, sure, they're paying his salary, he'll suck it up and say they look good, but pretty sure him saying they look "clean" was a FU to his bosses.

fwiw, "clean" is a very commonly used term for the current crop of NFL alternative uniforms (many of which feature heavier use of white/off white/silver colour schemes).

i didn't mind the arizona unis -- they're clearly intended to pay homage to the desert that surrounds them.

And nothing screams desert like a white jersey... oh wait, the largest desert in the world is white.  Maybe they're onto something.

Against the instinct of every bone in my body, I will be attending the game. I want to see the stadium one more time. I owe her that.

We'll see if a 1 p.m. Sunday vs. NO will be a touch kinder and gentler than the evening game against the Pats a few years ago.

the Arizona alternates from last night have a Jackson Pollack spattering of light brown, i thought.

Haven’t been to the stadium in a while, but I will be going to the Jest game at the end of the regular season. We had season tickets in ‘73 and I attended the first game ever against the Redskins (thanks, Herb Mul-Key) and of course the first regular season game vs. the Jets (thanks, John Leypoldt) and it will be a fitting and great bookend for my Rich Stadium experience by ending it against the Jets.

I’m not sure what color it was, but I did see that. On the zoomed out shots though, all I saw was white.

If ever there is a "safe" game to go to, this would be it.

i heard Sal on the radio today relating how the Super Bowl era Bills once lost 2 straight games (?) where they were 2 TD+ favourites.

It’s the NFL, man.

Go Bills!

I sometimes get the impression that some in these parts are simply not too familiar with team sports in general and the NFL in particular. “Any given Sunday” is a reality proved time and time again.
