Well then espn is full of ***** because their big board was 1. McQueen 2. Mrtka

Hextall's daughter Chatkya's sister didn't like the pick because the Sabres already have 2 1st overall D-men.  Thought going D wasn't addressing a need.

So gotta hope for a Byram swap or else we are probably cashed out unless we can lure a big fish in FA

Do you think any "big fish" FA would actually come to the Sabres? I'm guessing they had Buffalo on their no movement clauses while under contract.

Unlikely. I think any big change left will come from Byram, if it comes at all. Like I said we could be more less done

Nah. Mrtka is right there. Just move Dahlin to his natural handed side. Done.

Bear is a Red Wing. Damn.

Byram bridge to Mrtka

But at least they have an extra $5.5MM to go after UFAs.  (Yeah, right.  Like they'll spend that.)

A right handed Owen.  Great.  Barf.

Someday when they’re on the ice together it will just be 13’ of blue pylons with sideways helmets!

Mrtka is a RHD and is 4 years from the NHL, but sure he can partner with Dahlin then.

The Adams-No-Blocking-System can get him here in two, right after Kesselring is traded for another pending RFA.

I’m not sure Kesselring lasts past the next trade deadline.

Not happy Detroit got Carter Bear.  I thought that was why Philly traded up but then they went Nesbitt so whatever. I really liked Bear and don't want the direct competition to have him.

I said 3 years away but could be 4. Dahlin will be gone by then.

Should've seen if NYI was willing to move 16 & 17 for 9. Could've gotten Aitcheson, Carbonneau.

Eklund dropping like a rock

Eklund is going to be a very good pick in the late teens.

behold, the saviour

In seriousness is that not beautiful? Almost unfathomable to see that sort of greatness intersect with the sabres in 2025. I would bet my life savings on playoffs

Just depends on whether he still wants to be here, I suppose. Or if Adams is afraid of paying him the future contract he might very well have earned by then.
