Craig Rivet just laid him out...

A true captain says Eichel should never have been captain and that

"Jack Eichel is a piece of sh!t"

I'm listening to it now and every time I hear "Jack Eichel is a piece of *****" I giggle my balls off.

John Scott trashed Eichel on his latest "Dropping the gloves" podcast if anyone is interested in listening to it.

Not really worth a listen. The brief summary is that Scott went off on John’s comments, but said that he thought John was a cool guy previously. Said he came off as a spoiled brat. That’s about it. I was hoping for more.

John didn't overlap with Jack, did he? I'm not sure how much he's going to add, other than maybe second-hand stuff from players he was/is tight with in Buffalo. Sounds like opportunism.

They talk hockey. This was a feature game. They talked for a few minutes, but didn’t say anything noteworthy. See above.

An absolutely brutal first hand account from Craig Rivet regarding Jack five years ago.

Kyle. As good as Jack is bad.

If Kyle wants it, I’d have no problem with him finishing his career in Buffalo.  Just a genuine nice guy and a serious professional the kids are learning so much from.  Maybe the Sabres we’re gonna move Jack regardless of injury. Good riddance at this point.  One bad apple spoils the bunch.  So happy Krebs, Quinn, Peterka, Dahlin, Samuelsson, Power, Levi and Portillo don’t have to deal with booty hole Jack.

That was still early in Jack's tenure with the Sabres. So you can't excuse it as being tired of losing.

We would have known what kind of person he really was, but the meddling owners got in the way.

What's the story?

Long story short, a bunch of nine or 10-year-olds with Junior Sabres jerseys on were in Long Island for an event. The Sabres played the Islanders that game, and the kids/parents had tickets. A group of about 35 watched the team lose, but the kids still all wanted to see Jack.

Rivet escorted the group down by the locker room area for them to meet Jack and when he came out he looked at everyone, rolled his eyes, turned around and walked back through the curtain and into the locker room. There he stayed.

Instead, Kyle Okposo came out and stayed for 20 minutes and signed every jersey and every piece of paper he was handed.

That's pretty surprising. i've heard a lot of comments from people in my personal life that Jack has gone out of his way to be great to their kids/kids they know, away from the cameras.

Rivet is very specific in his comments about jack’s lack of emotional maturity to handle even mild adversity in his life. He specifically mentioned that the team lost that night.

I was surprised by the revelation that Jack was getting chirped all night by his ex-teammates last Thursday and surprised by the idea that the Eakin neck roll in the face off circle wasn’t a coincidence, but a deliberate attempt to bust Eichel’s balls.

Jack might have had an exceptionally bad night when Rivet's group showed up. But Craig's point was as a pro you have to suck it up.

They where excited kids. They had no clue or care about the game results and where so exited to meet their favorite player. If they where a bunch of drunk Chet and Muffy types you could understand the annoyance after the loss.

Yeah, it is rather apparent that a lot of his former teammates don''t have alot of respect for him.

I’m not sure if you listened, but apparently there were some fans behind the Vegas bench that brutalized him all game.
