WildCard
@Zeb_Habs Former #Sabres player Mike Weber retired today. He gave an outstanding press conference to the Swedish media at @frolunda_hc practice. He said he couldn't lift his two year old child because of knee damage, he needs a knee replacement. 1/
Sabres Fan in NS
This was posted in the NHL thread, but it is worth a reply here. +++++ Thank you, Mike. You were a good soldier. Not the most skilled, but you always gave it your all.
bunomatic
I agree NS he was never hesitant to block a shot or defend a team mate which can be a good barometer of him as a person too. Enjoy your retirement Mike.
inkman
Despite the negative vibe with ol Mike in these here parts, he always had a place in my heart.
WildCard
I think the tides turned on Weber when he started getting put into a bigger role than he was ever made for
inkman
I think the tides turned on Weber when he started getting put into a bigger role than he was ever made for Yep. When he was thrust into top 4 minutes he crumbled. Much respect Mike.

Sabel79
I know it’s entirely unfair, but all I can think about is him throwing his toys out of his stroller in the direction of the fans after that Arizona game. He was obviously a hard worker, sorry to see he’s in such rough shape.
North Buffalo
Love his heart. Sorry to hear about his knees.
dudacek
The most painful and shameful moment of the tank was the fans turning on Mike after the Arizona game. The man bled blue and gold. Enjoy your retirement Mike. You gave everything you had.
