TrueBlueGED
Watching Franson try to catch Helm was pretty comical.
darksabre
O'Reilly with an uncharacteristic bad play along the boards. He needed to cycle that low. Detroit had too many guys high in the zone.
Doohickie
That was a tire fire of a power play at the end.
darksabre
One goal down going into the 3rd. We've got Detroit right where we want them. Here comes overtime.

3putt
I still hate Gionta on the powerplays. I would rather have Risto out there.

SwampD
That was a tire fire of a power play at the end. Saved by the buzzer there. I'm really glad that the NHL decided to go this route to give us some entertaining hockey instead of trying to go back to that glorified skills competition that was '05-'07. I'm glad that we have a team that can play this way too.

Randall Flagg
I still hate Gionta on the powerplays. I would rather have Risto out there. Franson and Gionta were the point men at the moment that 2 on 0 developed. Something tells me that might not have happened with Risto+anyone else

Randall Flagg
Like seriously, I don't mean to induce the "shiny toy" argument again but if we put McGinn AND Gionta AND Franson out again for the power play, so that they get basically the whole thing, after the break, I don't even know. That kind of player selection doesn't help us in this game or in the future.
darksabre
Franson is fine on the power play. That's half the reason he was brought in.
Randall Flagg
Franson is fine on the power play. That's half the reason he was brought in. The second unit I'm fine with. Risto plays the position better.
3putt
Franson is fine on the power play. That's half the reason he was brought in. But does Gionta have to be on the point with him? I know they are playing an umbrella but jiminy Christmas
Randall Flagg
Well, I got 1/3 of what I wanted, and as I type McGinn does that and Gio runs into ROR
