stenbaro
There is no reason whatsoever to think Bouwmeester will sign with Calgary, and Hossa is not close to agreeing with the Wings. Both are going to see what's out there tomorrow, and the Rangers will be able to write checks that no other team can match. Also, there is no reason for the Rangers to give up assets for Heatley when they can get similarly priced UFAs who are better players without giving up assets. Smash that crystal ball youre using...lol What a defense the Flames are going to have....
spndnchz
Kovalev back to the Habs. His agent says it's not done yet. Habs aren't in "rebuilding" mode aye? Leafs sign Orr 4 yrs million per.

IMO 4.4 is too much for him anyway. He had an off year and floated around alot.

spndnchz
do the Habs really have that much cap space to be throwing around?? 20 million or so from the cap, they have only 16 players signed though.
wonderbread
do the Habs really have that much cap space to be throwing around?? I'd say yes. Mtl numbers 27.537 after adding Gomez. Imagine what DR could do with that $$. Old Sugar packets could buy the Rhode Island senate seat.

X. Benedict
Seriously? Yep. Upgrade from Peters and he takes enough fighting majors to keep things polite. Cuts down on the injuries. Avery is probably weeping today.
wonderbread
Florida has re-signed David Booth to a six-year deal worth $25.5 million That's the guy that I liked he has been pretty solid for the Panthers. He is a 20+ scorer that would do well on the Sabres 2nd line. 24 years old too!

MDFan
Booth was a restricted FA. The bad news for the Sabres is that he and Stafford are pretty comparable players and Booth got $4.25 m X 6.
