Pominville had that inexcusable goal drought(s), and Hecht ought to be ashamed of his season as well. You wouldn't even have known those guys were on the roster at times. Why don't you blame the guys selling popcorn at HSBC? Lalime wasn't perfect but the fact is the guys in front of him went to sleep. Just compare how they played the last 5-6 games to back then. As for a competent backup, we had them but we keep running them out of town. Ty Conklin sound familiar? How about Dwayne Roleson? The fact is backup don't play as well as starters because they usually come in cold. That's when you need your skaters to step it up. But that never stops the peanut gallery from declaring who sucks. It feels like putting on your dress uniform before marching off to a battle you most certainly wont live through. One last hurrah before it goes in the closet for the summer. If I had a jersey, I'd drive right up in front of HSBC Arena, start a small wooden campfire, burn that jersey, and force the entire Front Office to watch me do it.
