Tavares ...not in a vacuum, Kopitar. I thought it was a clean hit... shoulder to shoulder, he did not hit Sedins head. Sedin put himself in a vulnerable position with the half turn and drag, and he paid for it.

I have very little faith in the Pegula medical training staff. Whatever they're doing with the Bills is a complete disaster, unfortunately the Sabres aren't immune to their mismanagement of injuries. That said, I expect Eichel back second or third week of December with a few setbacks into early Jan where he my need to sit out a few games before ultimately being placed on season ending IR.

I agree witb pretty much everything, might move Kulikov higher. I'd also give a + to GMTM for trying to land Vesey, he's been very good for the NYR.

If he doesn't sign by Dec 1, he can't play this season. What does WPG need? Would they take Girgensons and Ennis for Toooba? That sounds very optimistic. Part of me doesn't want him back yet.

Deslauriers doesn't make that play. The Sabres are noticeably a faster team with Bailey and Baptiste, especially on the forcheck... what goes unnoticed is the speed on the back check. Back pressure in the neutral zone allows the D to step up and challenge before the play enters too deep in the zone. True. However, Lehner needs to contain the rebound or at least don't put it directly in front of the net.

If anything the early returns validate Murray giving up a third for a sniff... if he was a complete bust we'd be all over Murray and has poor evaluation of Vesey's talent (even tho he acts like an entitled prick).

This is a nice early season accomplishment sans Jack and Evander.... I think the team is actually better without Evander in the lineup. The test comes when they lose a couple games in a row. Playoff bound teams right the ship and avoid long losing streaks, non-playoff teams can't recover and go on long skids. Has the worm finally turned?

Just finished watching the game (had an evening flight into SJC), a few thoughts.... I thought Ennis and Risto had their best games of the season. Was hoping Ennis would get rewarded with a goal, but didn't have any puck luck tonight. Risto was decisive with the puck on his stick and engaged physically. I liked the pairing with Kulikov... and he was a +1... stop the presses! Lehner still scares me with his rebound control. He flops around too much, has trouble locating the puck at times, hope he cleans that up eventually. Moulson continues to impress me in all areas of the ice. He's creating turnovers and physically engaged on the forecheck.
