I hope TP watched that and realize how terrible the Sabres are.

Random question. What’s up with the back of Chris Collingsworth’ hands? They look bruised or black and blue like he’s had problematic IV’s. Woody, ever seen anything like that?
-
If it’s a straight-up bet (no points given) the risk/reward is well in your favor.

I would be very surprised if he is. Didn’t even have a full practice Wednesday because of his shoulder. His arm is only average when he’s healthy. If it’s windy tonight he should really struggle. Just don’t let CMC beat you (easy, right?) 🙄 Bosa and Williams, in particular, being out is a big advantage for the Bills.

What We Do In The Shadows. Originally a movie but then a TV series (where Colin appeared). Its a spoof on the vampire genre. Like Spinal Tap did to metal bands.

He was Colin Robinson .... the Energy Vampire. (Let's see if anyone else ever watched WWDITS).

The Bills are averaging ~ 29 points per game without him. And the the team ate a boatload of money to rid themselves of him. I have to think no one is missing him.

Owen Power leads the NHL in even strength points for defenseman

So, as we stand today, is Power's ceiling Erik Karlsson? -
Anyone got any intel on what's going on with him? Should he be a trade target? (Recognizing he's not the veteran presence that would be ideal).

Either/or. Ultimately they need to somehow get Cozens and Quinn going. -

I certainly wouldn’t give up on Quinn either. He hasn’t suddenly forgotten how to play hockey. I would be inclined to give the McLeod Zucker Greenway line - one that showed very nice chemistry - ‘2nd line’ minutes and give the Cozens Benson Quinn a bit lighter load with maybe better matchups to get that line going. (Although not keen about reducing Benson’s minutes). -

I, too, get agitated (to put it mildly) when the Sabres lose to teams like the Habs, Flyers and Isles. Teams I feel like they should beat. Until they don’t. But I’m coming to the realization that this is a common occurrence across the NHL. Quite likely the way fans of FLA, Stars and the NYR felt after losing to the Sabres earlier. So I’ve tried to take these more in stride when the Sabres play these clunkers. (My wife tells me it’s not working BTW). -

Many comments about the condition of the ice during the game. Might the pre-game ceremony for Thornton have had something to do with it? -

Which begs the additional question: Who decided to name an award in such a macho sport the Lady Byng Trophy?? -

If my abacus is working correctly the Sabres allowed 4 goals on the 3-game road trip. That’s impressive. -
I love watching snow games! ** ** As long as its from the warmth and comfort of my couch.

Both of their QB's made boneheaded decisions in crunch time yesterday. Wilson threw a pass into the end zone that looked like a throwaway when released. Except it wasn't. Wilson floated the ball into the end zone and it was easily picked. Then later, Fields was in for a designed QB run play to convert a critical third down. Went around left end and slid a half yard short of the marker. I believe he thought his 'yards while sliding' counted. Steelers looked really good yesterday. Very physical. TJ Watt is probably the best defensive player in the NFL. But they still have remaining 2 games against the Bengals, and one each against the Ravens, Eagles and KC. To your point Inky, Wilson will need to play the mistake-free game manager role to run the table and I don't believe he's capable of doing so.

Some random thoughts after the game: Shakir is a stud and is absolutely Josh's security blanket Aaron Kromer does not get enough credit for the job he's done with the OL My goodness, if this team can be healthy going into the playoffs I like their chances. Getting Milano back will be huge, if even on a pitch count for his first few games. (Replacing Williams on obvious passing downs probably). Wouldn't be surprised at all to hear in the coming few days that Micah Hyde has been signed for the remainder of the season. Josh's body may well be very near its physical peak but his brain for the game will continue to develop for another five years. It will be a sight to behold as a fan. My initial reaction when Bernard made the interception was that it's 4th down. He should have just knocked the ball down. But given the circumstances it made no difference. I'm sure the pick was much more impactful (and joyous) for those in the stadium. And it will leave an impression on the OC's the Bills will face going forward this year. Just one more thing for them to worry about. Really excited about the win. Go Bills!!
