Just what about my post do you think was crap? Do you think the Sabres played well over the last two periods? That’s what the conversation was about. Nothing more. And yes, no team brings their A-game every night or every period even. That’s the NHL. Never suggested otherwise. But it’s not off limits to point out when the Sabres revert to the poor play that’s plagued this franchise for more than a decade. I am delighted they won. And I think the team is figuring it out and getting better.

I really hope this game doesn’t come down to our WR’s having to make a play. Did I do that right @Night Train? Hey, it worked last week. Keep that gif cued up and ready to go. Go Bills. Looking for the 3-straight-wins holiday weekend for Buffalo sports fans!

What does 6 goals in the last 12 periods have anything to do with how the Sabres played the last two periods this afternoon? They played like ass for a good part of those 40 minutes. I made the comment to my wife a couple minutes into the 3rd that it appears the ‘bad Sabres’ came out of the locker room. UPL saved their bacon. And if playing games every other day is an excuse for not bringing their A game then it’s going to be another very long season. And yes, it was good to see them win another.

I was thinking the other night during the Rangers game that I can’t wait to watch Benson as a fully grown 24 year old. Then I realized I’ll have to wait 5 more years.

I generally like Mule. But I hope Lindy keeps Mule in the press box until it’s painful for him to be there. Then keep him there a couple more games. If Mule doesn’t come out of it being what the Sabres need him to be then moving him shouldn’t be out of the question.

If you can't CHANGE players, then change PLAYERS (caps for emphasis so it makes sense).

Plays the game the right way. Productive. Leadership qualities. Yes, that’s the type of player we should (and should have been) signing. We need another Zucker-type at F and another on the back end. But it needs to be guys who can help lift the team and not get dragged down into the muck.

That was an excellent write-up. But there’s something about seeing and hearing the young man tell the story.

Next year probably. The Bills won’t be so desperate to get rid of him for the cost (ex, Diggs). ‘26 is a different story. While he has a sizable salary the Bills would save over $9m on the cap by releasing him. Also wouldn’t be surprised to see Knox take a pay cut to stay.
