  1. Not sure he would be interested but if he was he he would want half the roster gone as a condition of taking the job.
  2. Yes. Pictures of them hanging out together. Videos. Are you implying it’s all made up? And to be clear, I want a winning culture developed.
  3. Is there anything to point to that this team does consistently well? What traits does the team possess that makes it competitive? Setting aside all the well discussed deficiencies, the Sabres were at least supposed to be built to be fast and skilled. They aren’t particularly fast (or don’t play fast), and I think the skill is vastly overrated. They’ve developed a close team culture, yes. But they need to figure out how to develop a winning culture. Fast. Changes are necessary. In the interim get these young kids out of there and let them experience some team success in Rochester because I see no path to the playoffs in Buffalo this season.
  4. If you can’t change people, change people. And if you’re asking ‘WTF does that mean?’ I’ll use some emphasis. If you can’t CHANGE people, change PEOPLE.
  5. I wish someone in the Sabres organization could read this. No clearer sign of the ongoing, abject misery this team has bestowed upon its fans. Forget getting fannies in the seats at KBC. People won't even bother watching from the comfort of their own living room.
  6. Listening to that gentleman’s account and seeing the pics the driver most likely sped toward or through the toll booths. If not, the driver was going against traffic exiting the inspection stations - and that would have been a much bigger problem. Whatever the final determination is, this incident would have been much more deadly if it happened on a summer afternoon. Lastly, if this was a terrorist event it was the worst planned and executed in the history of mankind.
  7. I’ll find out the seat info. Went to the Amtrak’s game last season and were sitting 3 rows from the glass about 6 feet off the goalies left shoulder. Will keep you posted.
  8. @PromoTheRobot I'm planning to be at that game also. And if the seats are the same as last year (clients' season tix) I'll be sitting very near your seats. Will let you know as the time nears. Would be great to meet up. Trying to keep an eye on which kids will be with ROC v. the big club by then.
  9. I guess I’ll have to wait until next year. Or the year after that. Or the year … Oh, never mind. I’ll just change my screen name.
  10. So … a true feeder system preparing for the big club.
  11. I turned the game off at half time and went to bed. Not because I didn't think they could win. I assumed they would. But I just don't care about this team any longer. And I never thought that was possible having watched games and suffering through some stretches of the worst football since the team's inception. What an immense disappointment. Maybe I'm just getting old.
  12. It's not the .500 pace that has me wondering about Granato. Its the way they are playing. How many of the 15 games to date have the Sabres looked like a legitimate playoff team? Why do many of the same issues persist? This is largely the same roster. Having written that I wouldn't pull the plug on Granato right now. It's too early. But if I was Czar of Buffalo hockey I would let Granato know that he's got until January 27th to show that he can put this team into a solid playoff position. If the Sabres are still floundering with a third of the season remaining it's highly unlikely they will turn things around and suddenly look like one of the top 8 in the East. Why January 27th? There's a 9 or 10 day break in the schedule (ASG break I assume?) to bring in a new coach and get moving with changes. More importantly, I want that new coach and staff implementing their systems and evaluating who stays and who needs to go this season. I don't want to see the team wait until the off season then hear that in 24-25 we need to give it 30 or 40 games for the new coach to implement his systems, philosophies and identity. We need to hit the ground running next season if this one ends in disappointment yet again.
  13. Cancer sucks ALWAYS. But when it afflicts kids … JFC it’s hard to take.
  14. I realize this is totally irrational but I look at the Sabres next seven games as A-H-A-H-A-A-A. The difference is so stark in the way they play at home versus the road and I see 5-2. Forget the crowd but isn't there supposed to be some tactical advantage to playing at home?
  15. Some PBP announcers too … that RJ fella comes to mind. I’m now going to crawl out of the rabbit hole of unimportant issues.
  16. The Office of Player Nickname Mediation suggests RJo. Under no circumstances can it be RJ. None.
  17. So who do the Sharks have that KA should be talking to them about to help the Sabres? Certainly SJ seems to be in a mode of wanting to add some prospects.
  18. Not going back to look it up. But I REALLY feel sorry for whoever it was that spent a good part of the day on a bus to watch this display. I sure hope the food made the trip worthwhile. Seriously, sorry.
  19. Just tried to snarf a free trial on a streaming service that carry NHL Nerwork for tonight and tomorrow. Only two - Sling and Fubo - have it. Sling only offers discount on the first month. Fubo has a 7-day free trial. Gave them a different email address and different credit card info than before. Kept getting denied. They must be on to the fact I did a free trial previously to watch the World Juniors, I think. Bastards outsmarted me. Radio then next day replay on ESPN+. ☹️
  20. Got to watch that game last night because it wasn’t on NESN or otherwise blacked out. My goodness do the Bruins play great defense, and that includes the forwards, in front of their goaltender. Their structure is quite good. I can see why their Dmen can be interchangeable. I bet they don’t give up many ‘cheapies’. And yes, it pains me to write all that
