Can't really know what the agent meant by 'lack of involvement'. Lots of room for interpretation and nuance there. But there's no question TP can handcuff the team by his decisions and actions regardless of how they are described. Totally agree. I think things like setting an internal cap or not allowing retention is within the purview of the owner. It's semantics but I don't consider that meddling. If KA goes to TP and says we are going to sign player X for 7x$7M and TP nixes it, then that's meddling. TP should be setting the parameters by which the organization will operate then let his people do their jobs. Basically your last sentence if those are the parameters. And to be clear, I feel these examples, if true, are signs of short-sighted decision making by the owner and do not agree with them. Relatedly, if such parameters are being placed upon KA then TP needs to come out and say so. A leader of an organization should not sit quietly while putting a key subordinate in a position to take the slings and arrows ("I've been given all the resources I need") for those decisions. Maybe that was implied in the infamous EEE speech?

I found it interesting that the agent cites TP for a 'lack of involvement', which is completely opposite of the opinion of most on this board (myself included). Bigger picture is that the agents' poor opinion/perception of the Sabres organization is a huge problem. But I'm sure they will feel better if their clients sign here on an overpay.

I agree with your premise about expectations in general Punch. But last night taken in isolation I expected a young Sabres team to beat a bunch of 30-something’s playing on a back to back. But as often the case the Sabres beat themselves last night. I guess old legs and wise brains are better than young brains and legs. Someone pass along the memo to KA.

What would help is the rest of the AFCE having another down year AND the Broncos and Chargers ascend. And, of course, the Chiefs not playing another season with a horseshoe stuck up its ass

I think it was a couple things. Partly because the Bills started getting good again. And partly, I believe, because another Bills board shut down and the posters migrated over to TBD (Scott can possibly verify that). Used to read the board a lot but never posted and I recall things going a bit 'south' all at once. This (on SabreSpace) is a welcomed alternative to chat about the Bills. Let's face it, the Venn diagram of Sabres and Bills fans has a huge overlap.
