  2. We need to trade Doug's gotee, sell high!
  3. Come on BOYS!!!!! I love the smell of ice in the evening, smells like, like VICTORY!!!!!
  4. There is only one question I have...... Will "The Legend of Skinner grow"? I say yes, yes it will. Sabres 6 - Flames 2 Skinner with a hatty ? Go Sabres!!!!
  5. Yes, cut military expenditures, specifically close all global military installations outside of US territories and the homeland. Bring those personnel home, where local economies can benefit from them. Also, reduce personnel, ships and logistics for such. It's a proven strategic success that when you control the skies, you control the battlefield, emphasize air power dominates with defensive strength. There is no reason to be the worlds policemen, let independent nations solve their own issues, we can take care of ourselves. Go to a single payer health care system. The goal of apportioned taxes went out the window generations ago, cap the tax rate at the Federal and state levels and pass balanced budget amendments. Free market principles love nothing better than stability, and this would bring a great deal to that. Lower the retirement age to 57 (voluntary work beyond that age with no penalties) and incentivize 401k type plans that allow for freedom of investment for employees who wish it. Socail Security collection to commence at retirement (57). There is many programs that could be ended to compensate the expenditure increases. Give control of the entire Eisenhower thruway system to the Federal government for example, relieving states of the burden lay a grid across the nation, and set a standard 1 dollar toll per grid area and an additional dollar for each grid district you cross in travel. While this appears heavy handed and burdensome, it actually streamlines federal highway transportation, more than addresses maintainence, and helps to suppress emissions while bolstering local and regional trade and employment as local resources are encouraged economically to be used. These are just a few ideas I've been thinking on. Yes, none are perfect, no actually, I'm not a progressive, I actually lean more conservative but I consider myself a middle ground kind of citizen. We need to encourage and reinforce small business while not over burdening them but at the same time we should be cognitive of the cumberness in trying to maintain lifestyle stability nationally. I believe in the rights of the individual, but we should be promoting and supporting an environment where it increases choices, thereby offering more avenues of success. But I also believe when you take away from those successful heavily, it acts as a discouragement when others see that happening. A middle ground of paying more as your wealth grows is fair, but we shouldn't over reach to, as I said discourage success.
  6. And the legend of Skinner grows
  7. I am pro tax cuts, I firmly believe we need more tax cuts. bureaucracy has become beyond bloated. It's a monster that feeds on everything, including itself. The founders specifically had this debate about containing the Federal government and keeping a good portion of power at the colony/commonwealth/state level. Turns out, those men were much smarter than roughly half the current population give them credit for, eh?
  8. While I'm not a prepper, I happen to agree with the premise of a financial collapse. I was and still am a Ron Paul supporter. I believe he was accurate in his assessment of the current situation. I am not privy to all of the programs the Federal government is spending on, but cuts have to be made.
  9. Actually, it hasn't. Under Trumps 1st two years, the national debt has gone up below the prior 7 years of his taking office. Tarrifs are a tool, like many others they have positive and negative net effects. The positives in this case, manufacturing, far surpass the negatives. And it's not isolationist nationalist, as you prescribe, it is nationalist, as it should be, after all, no one globally is to take care of America but Americans. He's not solving every trade issue with one or even two terms, but he is putting 8n place the foundation to do so. If you honestly believe America didn't need to address these issues, I can't help that, in my lifetime, it is very clear they needed to be addressed.
  10. I should have expanded beyond ability to incorporate the fact that our armed forces are a citizen volunteer force. Ask yourself this, your in uniform, the President suspends Posse Comotatis and orders you to fire on mom and dad, would you? As for attacking each other, I completely agree. No longer do we sit down and actually speak to one another, which appears to me in any event, to be one of the core problems. The media plays a part in this as well in my opinion, sensationalist story coverage of tragic events committed by small groups or individuals. Opiods, car accidents, suicides, all tale many 1000's more lives annually then political or ideological based attacks with guns, yet politicians and the media play a game of spotlighting those lesser attributal tragedies than the others. We all know the reasons for this, it's akin to saying sex sells.
  11. While I agree with your assessment of the general population, as a veteran, and one who has 2 sons currently serving, I do not subscribe to the Military ability to subdue a population such as ours. My sons, my comrades I served with and the ones they currently serve with all agree, they will not pick up arms against those that are actually attempting to uphold both the spirit and the existence of the Constitution. As for Trump not using them, 2 years in to his time and there are 0 cases brought forth that he is, unlike the past administrations. And while I am no fan of his, I focus in on policy as opposed to mere noise, he has surprised me quite frankly. Most good, a few items not so good. I didn't vote for him, but I will if he continues pro US citizen policies.
  12. His skating is good, so is Pilut's. Gritty? I don't see it. I see a minute eater, who, quite honestly, hasn't corrected his stick problem yet, continues to get beat to the puck in his own zone a good portion of the time, does not handle offensive forechecks against him well, seems to throw panic passes when pressured in his own zone, especially along the boards, and speaking of boards, his D zone board work is less than desirable, hence the panic passes I suspect. My biggest problem with him is his inability, or perhaps, his unwillingness to use his large body to clear the front of the net, and I know we've seen this time and time again. I'm not sold on Risto at all to be honest. These aren't new issues, many, if not all plus more I didn't list are ongoing issues that I have seen 0 progress in for well over a season now. Only time will tell, yes, he's still fairly young, but as I originally indicated, he's expendable, to me in any event.
  13. I don't believe 1 subpar game for Ullmark out of 3 is a benchmark I'd be drawing that conclusion on. But judging by these numbers, it appears Ullmark, even with that subpar game, is earning that job. # Name GP Min GA GAA W L T ENG SO Saves SvPct 35 Linus Ullmark 3 180 6 2.00 2 0 1 0 1 87 0.935 40 Carter Hutton 8 468 24 3.07 4 4 0 0 0 228 0.905
  14. No, I don't believe it would be necessary. Risto for Nylander straight up. They need that D piece more than we need the winger currently, as they are pushing for cementing that contention window. Not sure if they'd see it that way. Risto is an RHD, they've been looking for one. Seems to fit the bill. Not saying it's the optimal trade for them, a divisional foe and all, but something I believe they would consider.
  15. I don't know, Toronto needs an RHD, and I'm fast looking at Risto as the expendable one. His game has been sketchy for the better part of this early season, as well as last season as well. With both Pilut and Borgen looking decent in Rochester, I'd move Risto for the right piece.
  16. They won 3-2
  17. Rayzor is going to be on the Sabres greatest moments tapes going forward after this game...… LOL
  18. Risto has been subpar. But it's 11 games in. I'd like to see him progress heavily by mid season.
  19. Unreal...…..well, teachable moment......got a point.
  20. LOL, Rayzor just said you know what's good about this, Robyn Lehner is not in net.....just kidding LOL
  21. LET'S GO BUFFALO!!!!!!!!!!!! #I'mOnBoard
