  3. At no point in Buffalo Sabres History has a regular season game been so critical as this one tonight! This game is beyond critical. This game sets the tone for the future of the culture in the locker room, in the stands, in the patronage places around the city and the nation filled with ex patriots of the region. This game isn't merely a game to break a franchise record...…………………………. This game is the defining moment of what and who the Buffalo Sabres are, both on the ice, and eyes on televisions all across the nation. GO SABRES!!!!!!!!
  4. I read somewhere Risto's play has picked up since his time has come down a bit. Not sure where though.
  5. Addition & Subtraction have made them better imo.
  6. Admittedly, I haven't visited Toronto, from Buffalo, since 03. It's been a long time. I don't have any direct connection to Toronto, such as yourself. But adopting that analogy has everything to do with the Leafs. I used to run in to an oddly large number of their fans around Buffalo, especially back in the day when I used to go to the Buffalo Brewery and of course, some Leafs/Sabres games I attended at Key Bank Center. I love the Canadian Sabres fans, and somewhat loathe the Leafs fans lol. I guess it's just a "it is what it is" scenario. But I like that analogy, thank you for bringing it forth.
  7. I would like to adopt that Toronto analogy.
  8. Fantastic post PA, and it does hit close to home for so many.
  9. Toronto fans are getting nervous, and defensive, when the Sabres topics come up....... We are DEFINITELY doing something right.
  10. Risto completely clowned Burns there. And that celly............that's swagger right there ?
  11. 1 cup, every weekday morning, double/double
  12. Stop and see Letchworth State Park, 1 hour east of Buffalo. It's a must. Ft. Niagara Niagara Falls of course A drive to Ellicottville or any where in the southerntier is nice as well.
  13. There is only one question that needs to be answered tonight...…………………….. "Will the Legend of Skinner Grow"? To Be Continued...………………………………..
  14. 3.5 million retained? Yea, I'd do that deal. Kane replaces Reinhart as a RW'er, Pilut in for Scandella, Smith and the SJ 1st I could live with for a 7 mil a season Kane ?
  15. Very interesting. I still believe the hurdle to the Sabres come playoff time, is that Toronto team. How to keep pace with them scoring wise, because they are going to pot some pucks. Another finisher/sniper with speed, drive and chemistry for a true contributing force would be ideal. I just don't want to give up the assets necessary to bring one in personally lol.
  16. If they start scoring with consistency. So far it's been Skinner and Eichel bailing out the team for ties or starter goals for the most part. We have to have a larger contribution from that 2nd line. It's invisible for most games most nights to date. Not that they don't contribute, but they don't contribute enough to take pressure off our 1st line nearly enough.
  17. The time for consistency from line 2 is now, not another couple of months from now. So far Skinner and Eichel have maintained production just enough to win these tight games. Pressure must be taken off our 1st line in order to really be considered a challenge to Toronto, whom I consider the hands on favorites to take the EC.
  18. They are definitely playoff bound. I thought .500/playoff bubble team, but this run has me believing wild card spot at the very least. That being said, Botts is going to have to address the 2nd scoring line situation, regardless of playoffs or not. It's not contributing nearly enough to maintain sustainable help for the 1st line. I mean, it's great and all that Skinner is taking off and we've found one of Jacks future wingers, but pressure must be taken off of that line to some extent with help from the 2nd scoring line. Reinhart, Middlestadt, Okposo just aren't getting it done with consistent basis. A trade, a call up, doesn't matter the solution, that line has to contribute more than it has.
  19. And the Legend of Skinner Grows!!!
