It's a seriously great car." You're right, wildcard, it *is* fun talking up 5-star escorts. This thread is like a box of chocolates......... you just never know.

Recently got a gift from Mass of some Tree House Julius..... Orange / Citrus with a hoppy finish, and smooth. Creamy smooth. Wish it were a little closer.

https://www.thebuffalostar.com/2017/09/prospects-challenge-preview/ https://nhl.bamcontent.com/images/assets/binary/290859106/binary-file/file.pdf These games are a fun event, and the Harbor Center provides a "up close" environment. I'll be attending the Saturday evening game with Boston. Let's go Buffalo.............

Not the biggest king in the lake, but the most recent...... from yesterday. 4 browns and 2 kings. We've is on the other end of the camera, and he boated a beautiful male brown a little earlier in the day....

Picked up a growler of Rohrbachs Sinker Slider, and I'm in love all over again................I don't know whos yeast or what esters have been produced to create this concoction, but sign me up for another........ The "bad" news is I have to choke down a growler of Railroad Street IPA next. As for the Fitz....... all I hear is Gordon Lightfoot when I see a bottle of it.

Rohrbachs (Rochester) makes a pretty good O'fest.

It's nothing to be embarrassed about........ Happens to everybody. Wilson is a great port. I love it there.....
-
Hey Brawndo........ What port did you fish out of? How deep was the water you were fishing in? We've recently had some east wind on Ontario, which pushes colder water into shallower depths, and that can make fishing tougher. So I'm thinking conditions were not optimal today.... not to mention, it had to be pretty rough...... good job just for sticking it out.

Sometimes I can't believe the quickness of Jack's shot release....... Looks like the puck is on his stick for a millisecond, and then it's in the back of the net. Opposing goaltenders are unprepared for that quickness. Quickness (not speed) with accuracy make his shot what it is............. That and his ability to finish.

Prospects Challenge September 8 - 11. Hey..... It's something......
-
I'm with you Toga............. I just don't think many 20 yo's can lead a team of men. Jack might be the most skilled player on the team, but he is not the right choice for captian at this point in his career. ROR.

Marco Scandella/Jason Pominville traded to Sabres for Ennis/Foligno
hsif replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
I'm gonna miss the sliding, one knee, goal scoring celebrations of Ennis...... (not that we've been seeing many lately) and here's to hoping that the concussions are a non-issue in his future. I'm also gonna miss the milk commercial. As for Foligno, I've enjoyed watching the physicality of his game, when it showed........ but that's about all. -
https://www.nhl.com/sabres/news/sabres-announce-2017-development-camp-schedule/c-290140656 3 v 3, but no scrimmage.....?????? We'd attended for the last couple of years, and always enjoyed some summer hockey.

The VO2 Max test. (how big is your human carburetor?) ..... Isn't that pretty much genetically determined? I believe it can be improved with fitness, but not much. It concerns me that he's dead last in VO2 Max. at the combine. And the only test that looked good from the combine was fatigue index........ which if you're starting with a high output is great, but if you're starting from a low output.... is not quite so impressive. So..... he'll have blazing speed for about 1/2 a shift and then be tanked..... wrong word.. sorry.

From Monday...... Gobble Gobble. I'd monkeyed with 2 jakes at 30 feet, and another mature bird that wouldn't commit, before dropping the hammer on this 2 YO....... really a fun morning.

Sod..... In the fall, I spend more time in lower Sandy than I do in my house......and that's probably not an exaggeration. Got some perch there last Sunday by the yacht club, and then the rain hit..... you'll see me in a 16' Blue Duranautic, or a 18.5 ' Black Crestliner..... Sometimes with a Black and Tan Coonhound, and sometimes with We've. (The coonhound has way more personality, and catches more fish.)

Years ago, I fished a fly-in trip out of Hornepayne Ontario, and took a walk up the inlet stream to the lake we were fishing. The bottom of the stream was covered by a layer of sucker eggs several inches deep in spots. That was just before I noticed the bear tracks along the bank which must have been from black bears fishing for suckers...... probably without a license. I walked out a little noisier than I walked in....... Ducky.... yes they have to abide by the rules and limits set by the DEC.

Okposo Hospitalized - Update: Reportedly Doing "Much Better"
hsif replied to That Aud Smell's topic in The Aud Club
Sweet...... happy to hear and glad he's well. -
While at the game last night there was a female veteran season ticket holder sitting behind us...... and she was educated to the point of knowing the officials names...... but during one flurry in the Sabres end near the net, she hollered at Lehner......."It's sitting behind you, like a turd!"........ I howled, and thought now there's one you probably won't hear Rick use........
-
I'm just hoping 3 or 4 of them don't sleep in one day............. the corresponding thread in this and the other infinite parallel universes would be ..... well..... infinite.

All hail to the Sniper....... great story and Game Day Starter

GDT: Chicago Blackhawks vs. Buffalo Sabres 6PM at KBC on NBCSN
hsif replied to jsb's topic in The Aud Club
All in all, you can't be surprised by the loss...... The scheduling was tough...... What was pleasantly surprising to me was the energy brought by the call-up team, and the fact that they didn't look to be in over their heads..... E-Rod, Bailey, Baptiste..... all brought great pace, with the ability to take away space and create space quickly. E-rod played way beyond what I was expecting. The Chicago game was the 3rd game in 3 nights for Baptiste, as he played in Rochester on Friday at 7PM. I'm excited to see these guys with some fresh batteries after the break.
