  1. I thought Eichel and Reinhart displayed skills above and beyond the others....... particularly passing skills and vision on the ice..... Eichel had one through the skates move up the left side that was very slick. The 1st goal set the tone, and was great to see. Baptiste, Bailey, and Rodrigues were solid. Catenacci has some wheels and persistence...... didn't like Chapman as much as others....... I thought Makarov played well, and worked hard..... Asmundson didn't look as good, but he had one outright close-range robbery..... During the 1st intermission, while people watching over the rail on the 2nd level Mike Weber walked by being towed around by a little one........ There was a small group of players watching from the 200's......
  2. Is this........... Yoda?
  3. My daughter and I put 12 Lake Erie walleyes in the cooler yesterday out of Dunkirk. Over about 80 feet of water, right on the bottom with crawler harnesses...... great day.... got a little rough.
  4. I'm psyched to see Garbowski on the roster..... We watched many RIT games last year, and the guy hustles.....he was also part of the winning 3x3 from the development camp......... just wish he was a little bigger.....
  5. Great pic and oldschool pumps too ..... nice. Been shooting a 1948 Ithaca M37 for a couple years now..... Refinished a trap stock so it fits me very well .... but only target loads..... with hunting loads, those M37 Featherlights kill on one end and wound on the other... Where you at Ducky? Rates? Season?
  6. Gionta? Too Small..... Too Old..... No impact in games......Not Captain material..... and so on......
  7. Looking forward to it! 218 Row 1..............Saturday's game...... Should be a good fix.
  8. The Buffalo area is just about the fishiest place on earth! The smallmouth bass fishing in Lake Erie is unreal. Walleye fishing in Lake Erie is very very good, and Lake Ontario and the LO tribs have world class salmon and trout fishing..... but..... most of the best fishing for most of the year is accessible by boat. The upper and lower Niagara river is a tremendous fishery! Some of the best Musky fishing in the country is in the upper river......I live in Rochester, but to fill my freezer with walleyes we travel to Sturgeon Point and launch/fish there.... 35 walleyes in the last 3 trips.... not really cost effective considering all the expense, but fun and tasty! Buffalo is Hockey Fish Heaven!

  11. I sat through the 0 - 7 Sabres / Wild game, back in January........ Wasn't sure I'd ever want to see hockey again..... but here I am very much looking forward to the scrimmage tomorrow night...... Hope Renewed!
  12. https://sabresmedia.files.wordpress.com/2015/07/2015-16-development-camp-roster.pdf roster.
  13. Anybody seen a roster for camp?
  14. We're headed up on Friday.......I think this is the 3rd year we have attended the scrimmage.
  15. Thanks for all the response.... I'd seen them grown in N. Idaho, in much larger areas than here. But with homebrewing taking off the way it has, and micro/nano brews everywhere, I guess it makes some sense. Can't wait to sample a local product with local hops!
  16. I'm a consumer, not a brewer... Recently, I've noticed a few hops "orchards" or "vineyards" or what ever you call a plot of land where hops are being grown..... around Rochester. They are fields of telephone poles spaced maybe 20 feet apart with wires connecting the tops of the poles in row-like fashion. The hops plants grow up wires or strings that attach from the ground, to the wires strung across the tops of the poles. If you see one of these areas you'll know. They are very unique. My question is ..... who is buying the hops being grown there? Private guys who like to brew? (Brew supply houses?) Wouldn't the taste/quality of the hops vary quite a bit?
  17. Yes sir, Officer.... I mean your Royal Mountedness..... My General Manager packed my hockeybag..... I have no idea where that white powder came from....
  18. He's got some growing up to do..... should buy a watch ..... and should sometimes look to make the play instead of the hit.... but darn it... I'm gonna miss the big lug..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOh9sficG7k
  19. Is there a website to order scrimmage tickets?..... been going for the past 3 years and really enjoy the night.
  20. quite the day..... come on October! Eichel still playing the fence......... what are the odds he returns to BU with all the excitement today?

  23. Recently there has been some conversation concerning our later (21?,31?,51?) draft picks and using one of them on a goalie... and I think TN commented that the dart board method for picking a goalie was as reliable as any for choosing a goalie to draft.... if their development is so hard to predict why would we use a draft pick that might otherwise be used to reliably pick a forward or defenseman with potential, and then trade for our goalie prospects once they have a little seasoning?
  24. In college it was all about low price..... Iron City Brewing had it's "Holiday Beer", which got pretty popular after the March following the Holiday season.
  25. Bridgekeeper: Stop. Who would cross the Bridge of Death must answer me these questions three, ere the other side he see. Sir Eichel: Ask me the questions, bridgekeeper. I am not afraid. Bridgekeeper: What... is your favourite colour? Sir Eichel: Blue. Bridgekeeper: Go on. Off you go. Sir Eichel: Oh, thank you. Thank you very much. Sir Hodgson: That's easy. Bridgekeeper: Stop. Who would cross the Bridge of Death must answer me these questions three, ere the other side he see. Sir Hodgson: Ask me the questions, bridgekeeper. I'm not afraid. Bridgekeeper: What... is your name? Sir Hodgson: Sir Hodgson of Buffalot. Bridgekeeper: What... is your quest? Sir Hodgson: To seek the Stanley Cup. Bridgekeeper: What... is the capital of Assyria? [pause] Sir Hodgson: I don't know that. [he is thrown over the edge into the volcano] Sir Hodgson: Auuuuuuuugh. Bridgekeeper: Stop. What... is your name? Kaleta: Sir Kaleta of Buffalot. Bridgekeeper: What... is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow? King Zemgus: What do you mean? An African or European swallow? Bridgekeeper: Huh? I... I don't know that. [he is thrown over] Bridgekeeper: Auuuuuuuugh. Sir Zaderov: How do know so much about swallows? King Zemgus: Well, you have to know these things when you're a king, you know.
