This post puts preseason in perspective. Some fans on here are over the top in pessimism based on a couple preseason games. I've been around since this team's inception and I'm not so negative to jump off a bridge in September before the first freakin game is played. Maybe boredom brings this out because quite frankly what's there really to talk about.New management,new coaches and many new players. This may take way longer to sort out than a couple preseason games.

Gentlemen we haven't finished training camp. Enough of the dread. I know it's been a rough number of years but let's give it a couple months anyway.

Good post. Many Buffalo fans overrate our team and underrated Toronto. Toronto never hit the bottom we did and is a few years ahead in that regard. I put very little regard to preseason games at anytime and especially a team having made all the changes this team has made this year.

I am not concerned. If this were mid or late November then maybe. Does this show players not "buy-in" to the coaches system? No quite frankly I think it's far to early to speculate on that as well.

I am not one who puts much stock in preseason in any sport. I'll wait until into November before making any kind of guess on this team. Total change of coaching and front office along with significant player changes means we need to give this time.

You're, in my mind, very generous. Nothing Dunleavy does as a play by play guy is close to acceptable. Worst I've suffered listening to b far.

That's because on tv you're not depending on someone to tell you much. Frankly I can tolerate him on tv but he's not good period.

This guy has brought me to the point of hardly caring to listen to Sabres broadcast if he's on. This guy has to be the worst in the league. I'm sure he's probably a nice person but I find it impossible to listen to him on radio. TV at least you can see where the play is. Radio no idea. When there is a goal it's an almost "oh, by the way they scored" 10 seconds later. On power plays no idea time left or where the play is. Please find a replacement.

I can't understand how Dunleavy has a job. The guy is brutal. Worst hockey play by play announcing I've ever heard!!!!

ROR is such a complete player that he seems a natural but being a captain isn't necessarily based on that. I would not be against him being captain but he is not the "face" of this franchise obviously.

I have agree with PI on this. I think he's not good one n one period. I am ok with the one year deal but I hope we can stay away from as many shootouts as humanly possible.

Absolutely. The fans in the long run would be glad they took the picks. In fact I'm not sure the majority wouldn't have a real problem then. Edmonton was out of their minds. The big thing was fans may have said we again won't pay big money and we can't compete. That was the sentiment before Pegula took over.
