  1. Beer beat me! I'll see if I can conjure it up again..
  2. None. That's what is so depressing. We may get lucky again and get a player or two like Pouliot during the summer that come in a have a positive impact. But time and proper upbringing through your farm system is the only way to insure years of having a really good team. The team wasn't doomed because we tanked for two years, it was doomed because we didn't have a good prospect pool and farm system to train them in for a decade before it.
  3. Makes me think JBOTS will keep every pick he can get for whatever deals he makes over the next few years. Time to start filling Rochester up and creating competition there for ice time. The sucky part is we as fans are looking at years yet before we could be good.
  4. Thought it was a good game. Really enjoy watching Antipin and Beaulieu. We have some speed on the back end when they play. Sam is not a tire fire right now, just hasn't filled the #2 overall pick shoes we came to expect. Larsson and Girgensons are playing just as low compared to expectations. Maybe none of them are point a game players, but one of the three should have a point in a game.
  5. I know there are a few of you that have seasons and at times are not going to games. If any of those games happen to be a Saturday afternoon game in Jan or February I'd love to buy a pair of tickets from you. We go to one, maybe two games a year so I really do like a good seat for viewing the game(s). I'm not saying monies no object, but I am going for quality over quantity. I've done stub hub and have no complaints other than their fees, but I thought I would ask here first. I think it's ok for me to ask for tickets like this. If not, please let me know and I'll delete the topic.
  6. Looks like Housley is using Larsson and Wilson as his shut down pair. Have no problems with that. Putting the trio of O'Reily Girgs and Okposo out on the ice trying to get them a favorable match up and start building some confidence? Scoring? Antipin is starting to see some quality opposition and I thought played very well. He has the most potential of our D-corps to skate and stick handle with a true top 6 set of forward lines. I really am hoping he's the second coming of Soupy.
  7. They better win. I have feelings all of a sudden. Score!
  8. See what happens when you don't check in, completely miss out on free tickets. I'm a slacker. Thanks for offering them up to us eleven.
  9. I think you over valued Girgensons, but ya.
  10. He was always solid in front of the net. Now it's a game or two here and there you seem him on the edge of the crease. I swear that is where 90% of his goals came from and he's not there to score them this year. Hard for me to believe the coaches aren't wanting him in front of the net.
  11. Dove hunting (country pigeon) is big out by me in the late fall after the crops have been harvested. It is a delicacy I enjoy and very rarely get.
  12. He could have something going on, it is quite noticeable from previous years. Before Cody Hodgson I would think he's just slacking, now one has to wonder if it's more than *lack of compete*.
  13. I haven't been expecting much the last half dozen games and after the game thought they where entertaining. I'm ratcheting up my expectation 1 lonely little notch. I'm expecting two solid periods of play. No idea which two. Baby steps.....
  14. Would I give Lehner up for a first rounder right now? Of course. Would I give up Lehner and make a team take an aging vet, say Molson(?), for a first rounder? That is what we gave up for him, doubt there is another team that dumb or has family that wants to do Botterill a huge favor.
  15. It's to bad Rochester was a hot mess when they drafted him, he could have really used a season or two of AHL learning on a good squad.
  16. Said the exact same thing when I read the line up.
  17. I actually look forward to tonight's game. Playing not to be traded to an AHL city in Siberia seems to have sparked a few boys. Puck luck will be with us tonight, 4 goals and a Miller shutout.
  18. He might be a decent fit on a *heavy* team. Not sure if LA has changed directions on how they view what it takes to win, but if the old mold is still how they want to put a team together he may have a shot.
  19. I actually thought he played well and was often found in scrums in front of the Blues net. But it appears opposing coaches show no fear of him as a play-maker or scorer. Him a Girgensons have been my biggest disappointment to date.
  20. Going off of memory so please correct me if I'm wrong but... Wasn't Girgensons supplanted by Wilson as the game wore on? Wilson ended with more TOI and I swear Wilson was making some nice plays to finish off the third period. I saw Gergensons as JAG for most of the game.
  21. Chances are very slim, especially this year. But It could happen next year, with the Sabres eating Salary.
  22. I wanted to see what your creative mind was up to. I entered Trä Kapplöpningshäst into google translation machine and got.... Wood Racing Horse. I may be hung, but I'm not so sure I want ridden. :P
  23. But I can't pronounce my own name then. So sorry, I totally missed that. So I re-read the thread to find it. skogslopp I likey.
  24. Wilson/Rodrigues vs. Molson/Girgensons has definitely changed the dynamic of the team. The opposing teams coaches don't seem to have a *soft* match up.
