  1. I have friends that are die hard Blue's Fans going to the game tonight, about as cheaply as tickets can be had for any hockey game in any league. Please disappoint them Sabres.
  2. You just summed up every one not named *the core*.
  3. Ha! Good one! Looks like Phil wanted to score bad and Antipin was his only hope on D. He only had 13:13 TOI but 20 shifts. By comparison Jack, Sam and Kyle had 21,22,22 shifts respectively but each had a lot more TOI. Offensive zone starts and quick changes for Victor.
  4. That makes it sound as if it's a no brainer when Baloo is healthy for the coaching staff to put him in Antipins spot. My eye test still says different.
  5. I just butchered your name. I have skills. I still really like Rob. He's just pressed into a role above the line he was drafted for. What ever NS predicts is how I'm calling it.
  6. Thanks Skugs. The trust from the coaching staff still isn't there.
  7. Skate. Score goals. Don't get hemmed into your own zone. Can I have Rob's job?
  8. Antipin has been doing well considering his competition. Not sure of his zone starts, if he's still being sheltered with a majority of O-zone starts he isn't playing as well as I think he is.
  9. Most of those shows are 10 bucks. That looks like a real fun way to spend a few hours every week.
  10. They're doing it to me too. And I know better is what really bothers me.
  11. Not seriously thinking of rearranging our bottom four on defense I hope Mr Housley, right?
  12. I wasn't going that far. It might be more than what he is worth, but not outrageously more. Or, he could be putting up the same numbers he is today and some team will find him to be a great bargain compared to the salary increases for the same type player because of the increasing cap and we get a great trade.
  13. Could it be that teams are starting to have some match up problems finally?
  14. I really enjoyed last night's game. No chasing the puck and some nice passing. Heck, Nelson had a long bomb pass that sprung a 2 on one. They looked confident and like they where actually enjoying themselves. If this continues for another couple weeks I will begin to become emotionally invested. The little voice I hear that sounds like Mr. Spock tells me wins like this have a low percentage of happen again till next season. Dam you Spock.
  15. That ^ don't look right. Could just be my computer
  16. I'd be suicidal. There's no way I can handle that much dreary-ness.
  17. :w00t:   :w00t:
  18. I was at the game. When the third goal went in Elvis had left the building, it was over then, the entire team quit. The only problem was someone forgot to tell Dallas.
  19. First you have to ditch the flip phone, then .... :P
  20. The Seattle Grunge!
  21. I see this also. No coach wanting this job said *I can turn this squad around in one year*. They had to ask JB his time frame on securing a good roster and there had to be some back-n-forth on what type of players each envisioned having. I think we are seeing Rochester players getting a look see by Housley and JB then sent back down with a note on what to work on. Phil is here for the first year will a great big *get out of jail free pass*, and rightfully so. He and JB will need to see an improved team next season or their seats will be getting warm.
  22. It looks like the Sabres and Rangers are 2 fairly well matched teams. I didn't really notice during the game that Pominville was basically matched up with the Rangers top lines. But, looking back I can see that could be why he didn't look to have a very good game.
  23. A bias ? Yes I think it is. The bias may be a result of Ullmark's better rebound control though, more than a like/dislike of a player. Ullmark didn't leave a juicy rebound to an open opposing team player like Lehner is prone to do, so it may seem the defense is doing their job better.
  24. Yes, but his cap hit is 6 million. Will 4 mill per year actual payout look bad come 2021 thru 23 compared to other salaries for teams ? I'm not sold that it's a horrendous contract and that he will be as out of step as much as Matt is in today's game.
  25. IIRC Kyle's contract for the final year or two had his salary much lower than his cap hit. So he is very trade worthy at the end to teams that want to be at the cap floor at the lowest possible cost. Tank teams.
